I have added the Donation Button in case anyone wants to
help keep this website going.
So far there are two donations and I will list them as a contributor
on the contributor page.
I am just hoping to get at least $119.40 this time to pay for the webserver.
I can manage the cost of the domains.
I hate putting this on here however I live on a fixed income (being
of an advanced age)
and it is hard for me to come up with the payment.
Anything is appreciated no matter how small.
I will keep a running balance on here to let you know when I
have (hopefully) collected enough. This
will be taken down on December 19th.
Email me if you want to do snail mail.
The show will go on no matter what. :-)

NOTE: Life is
full of changes and changes are what is happening here at Ohio Genealogy
Express. It is back to just me doing the transcribing
and updating along with the wonderful contributors of data who,
incidentally do some transcribing of their own.. In all reality, things will probably move a
little faster now. Keep checking back.
Thank you to all who have
contributed to OGExpress. It is greatly appreciated!
With this... I am doing my
very best to keep this site updated every day. I do need a little help from my viewers.
I keep track of what everyone is looking at and
try to keep up with it. If I see someone is looking at Adams County, I
try to update it ASAP If I see someone is looking at Sandusky County,
I try to update it ASAP. Please do me a favor and sign my guestbook
and put the areas and names you are researching. I will check it
periodically and try to help you find things for your trees. It
will also help other's searching your lines to contact you as well.
This is what Ohio Genealogy
Express is all about. FREE GENEALOGY RESEARCH. I am not in this for the money. This is My
Contribution to Humanity.
Thanks to all who visit. Sincerely, Sharon Wick Owner of Ohio Genealogy Express.
Greetings All you Genealogy Novices & Gurus!
It's getting colder and colder outside.

Had to make an
emergency visit to Illinois again. Mom had a
mini-stroke but at 97 years of age she snapped right back.
She lost a day with loss of memory and speech but seems to
be doing okay now. Just a little bit more memory loss
I will stay with her until I feel it is safe to leave her.
Jim is wonderful about staying home and holding down the
fort with dog Buddy and cat Miss Kitty.
I will be
making a visit to the Peoria Library while I am here so if
anyone wants me to look for anything please let me know
before the 7th of December.
I haven't got
to put as much online this month so far as I would have
liked to but I really have been paying a lot of attention to
mom to see if she is she is going to be okay enough for me
to go back to Ohio.
I guess I will
have to make more frequent visits to Illinois.
Still working on the Cemetery Project between
transcribing requests and adding new things.
The "Generous Genealogist" is
taking a break but I am working hard as ever.
If it looks like I am not doing much, some projects take a
because they are pretty huge.
Another big Thanks to Nancy
Hannah for the News Excerpts this month.
Dietz, who works on the Allen County, Ohio part of this
website, has been having some medical issues and has been a
little slow in transcribing but she will add things as she
gets the time and energy.
Prayers go out to her to feel better.
have been transcribing my fingers to the bone and will
continue to do so as long as I can sit up and take
Other than that,
do need those who have send lookup requests to me that have
not been answered yet, to re-send them as the email
does get backed up in that department and sometimes it is
just hard to catch of while still trying to put updates
online. I am not ignoring anyone and so again, please
re-send the requests.
With that... I will get back to doing what I do best, typing
my fingers to the bone. :-)
If you would
like to contribute to keep this website going, you can use
below or send it by snail mail. If you prefer snail

I use the money for the domain and server fees. If
there is any extra, I will purchase more data to transcribe.
There ususally isn't any extra though.
I'm working on year #6 now and I hope I can give some type
of help to someone that is at their 'brick wall' by keeping
this website relatively simple to navigate.
With no muss, no fuss and just getting the information 'out
there' in cyberspace for all you good people so that you
might find leads in finding your 'roots'.
I have corresponded with some very nice people and along the
way found things for my own family tree.
I want to send out a BIG THANKS to all of you who make it
worth it by sending nice emails to me and occasional
For those of you that don't, I am just pleased that I can
help you all as well.
I will continue to get the data 'out there' for you as it is
my passion to help.
And besides that, I like to type. :-)
I am hoping to bring more and more NEW data as time goes on.
Keep checking back often.
Have a wonderful month,

Be sure and Don't be
afraid to ask me to transcribe biographies of people listed
on all the county and state pages. That's what I do
and that helps me get motivated on each county site.
Please, Please include the name of the person, the county
and state that you found them in as it makes it a lot
easier for me to find them.
It also makes me curious about what else I can find on the

My website will ALWAYS be free as long as I can keep it
online. I will assist in research as long as it is within my
means. But not if it will cost me money.
That is only fair as I don't charge for this website.
I am still trying to get more biographical indexes
If I haven't answered your queries, it is
because that is not the only way people can contact me.
I answer lots of queries as time allows.
I will eventually get back to those who ask questions.
UPDATE ON KITTY....
It is now December, 2014 and Kitty is STILL hanging in
there... Her appetite goes up and down. I
think it is because she hurts. I really don't know for
sure as she quiets down when I feed her.
She jumps up on her stool next to my computer chair and she
will meow a bunch and then after a while she will start
pawing me over and over trying to get me to feed her.
I don't want to over feed her so I make her wait a while and
then I will finally get up and feed her.
I keep those Kitty snacks handy to give her in between
I have gotten some vitamins for her and she is finally
starting to bathe herself again.
Just a little at a time.
She is close to 17 years old now.
My sweet cat has Lymphoma.
She is taking steroids to prolong her good health for a
Spring is here so Kitty still isn't going outside at all.
She mostly stays curled up in my recliner while I am typing.
She is with me in Illinois and will be happy to go home on
the 2nd of November.
Mom has a dog and Kitty doesn't like it. lol
Wait until she gets home and has to deal with the New dog
For all you cat lovers, I will keep you posted.
UPDATE ON THE DOG SITUATION:
BUDDY, the Wonder Dog! :-)
Here is a picture of Jim with his new "Buddy"
This dog has really taken to Jim.
Already he sleeps with him and he is well trained, letting
us know when he needs to go outside.
Buddy has turned out to be such a good dog..
I keep finding
new material for OGE that I have been trying to get online.
Keep track of the UPDATES
CALENDAR to see what I am doing.
It is the best source for updates.
AGAIN...... I am
a little behind on my 'REQUESTS' EMAILS so don't be shy....
REMIND ME! I am getting old. hahahahhahah
That is all I have to say right now but I
will keep you updated.
See ya in the emails, Yer Trusty Dusty Webmaster....
Oh and one more thing....
if anyone wants to make a donation so that I can find more

represents the "O" in Ohio, but also suggests Ohio's famous nickname,
