NOTE: Life is
full of changes and changes are what is happening here at Ohio Genealogy
Express. It is back to just me doing the transcribing
and updating along with the wonderful contributors of data who,
incidentally do some transcribing of their own.. In all reality, things will probably move a
little faster now. Keep checking back.
Thank you to all who have
contributed to OGExpress. It is greatly appreciated!
With this... I am doing my
very best to keep this site updated every day. I do need a little help from my viewers.
I keep track of what everyone is looking at and
try to keep up with it. If I see someone is looking at Adams County, I
try to update it ASAP If I see someone is looking at Sandusky County,
I try to update it ASAP. Please do me a favor and sign my guestbook
and put the areas and names you are researching. I will check it
periodically and try to help you find things for your trees. It
will also help other's searching your lines to contact you as well.
This is what Ohio Genealogy
Express is all about. FREE GENEALOGY RESEARCH. I am not in this for the money. This is My
Contribution to Humanity.
Thanks to all who visit. Sincerely, Sharon Wick Owner of Ohio Genealogy Express.
Greetings All you Genealogy Novices & Gurus!
May is HERE!!!
I am sorry this is late.
My how time flies.....
I am getting ready for my semi-annual trip to Illinois
I will be doing research along the way.
Jim, my husband, will be holding down the fort.
Buddy, our dog, and Kitty will be keeping him company.
I do think Buddy knows I am leaving because tonight we went
out and put Buddy in his kennel.
We having been putting him in the kennel for quite a while
now but I thought it would be a good idea to do it while I
am gone because I think he is going to rebel.
When we came home, Buddy was barking and barking and
He was mad. Soooooo I asked him if he wanted to go for
a ride and he bolted towards the garage and I opened the car
door and he jumped in.
I took him uptown for a 2 mile ride and brought him back and
he was happy.
He is like a big kid. hahahh
Everything is the same.. I am......
Hoping I get the websites all merged soon.
Been working very very hard on it.
I still am very busy in the past few months. I am
trying to go thru every page on this website to make them
better. When I started this site, I knew nothing about
webpage making and so there are lots of wacky looking pages.
I am straightening them all out a little at a time where I
can eventually hook everything up to Genealogy Express for
the MAIN sight.
I have three website domains and I want them to all be in
It will make things easier for everyone.
Please keep in mind the web address, which works fine, but
it is a little plain:
It will take you to three of my websites which are all
connected in some way.
You will like the ending result. Please bookmark it for future use. (or current use)
Please be patient as it will eventually all come together

I myself finally found my great grandmother McPheron /
Adkins' death certificate and her house!
Wow!!!! What an exciting find.
My mother's father passed away in the influenza epidemic in
1918 and with that was kind of a falling apart of that part
of the family.
Thanks to my distant cousin, Paula, I have copies of
wonderful portraits of my great grandmother and grandfather
My cousin, Paula passed away last September in a motorcycle
accident, May She Rest in Peace.
I do know one thing, and that is... If you have a suspected
source, pounce on it because from what I have seen in my own
family tree, most of my sources have passed on to the Great
Had I procrastinated, I wouldn't be as far as I am in my own
I still have several "Brick Walls" to conquer.
One is my Love branch. The farthest back I have found
them is in Lawrence Co., Indiana.
Another is my Earp branch. The farthest I can find my
great great grandmother Milly Earp is in 1853 when she
married my great great grandfather. Simon P. Earp
assumed guardianship over her so she could get married and
his son, Frank and his wife, Mary Earp signed the marriage
Simon lived in Shelby Co., Illinois.
I found her with her new husband in Linn County, Missouri in
And I also know she was remarried to her 2nd husband, George
Leonard in Moultrie Co., Illinois.
Milly Earp was also living in Macon Co., Illinois after her
1st husband died of disease in the Civil War.

Be sure and Don't be
afraid to ask me to transcribe biographies of people listed
on all the county and state pages. That's what I do
and that helps me get motivated on each county site.
Please, Please include the name of the person, the county
and state that you found them in as it makes it a lot
easier for me to find them.
It also makes me curious about what else I can find on the

My website will ALWAYS be free as long as I can keep it
online. I will assist in research as long as it is within my
means. But not if it will cost me money.
That is only fair as I don't charge for this website.
I am still trying to get more biographical indexes
It is now May, 2016 and Kitty is STILL hanging in
there... My sweet cat has Lymphoma but I think it is in remission
Kitty loves to go outside again but now it is still a little
so she stays in more.
UPDATE ON THE DOG SITUATION:
BUDDY, the Wonder Dog! :-)
Here is a picture of Jim with his "Buddy"
Buddy is doing pretty good. He loves
to go for car / truck rides.
We have to spoil him, as that is our job, so we take him for
rides and to the lake. If it is warm enough out we
just take him to the store and he sits in the car and waits
for us. We leave the windows cracked for him.
Never take him if it is too hot or cold outside though.
It is so cute when he goes with us because the bank and
pizza parlor give him a snack when they see he is in the
Buddy had his surgery and now he is much better. The
Vet removed a cyst from his chest. It was tested and
all came out well. If anyone sent dog prayers, thank
you very much because it worked. He is the best
dog. Well trained and very friendly. We lucked
out when we rescued him at the dog pound.
Will keep you informed.
