IRWIN, a native of Alexander Township, was born Sept. 18, 1840, a son of John Irwin.  He was married Feb. 13, 1866, to Isabelle Sisson, a native of Meigs County.  They have six children - William W., John C., O. L., Emma V., George B. and Cora M.  Mr. Irwin has a farm of 150 acres, under a good state of cultivation, with a good house and farm buildings.  Politically he is a Republican.  In early life Mr. Irwin assisted his father on teh farm, receiving his education in the common schools.  He commenced life for himself with comparatively little but strong hands and an honest heart, and by hard work and good management has acquired a home where he is surrounded with all the comforts of life.  He is one of Alexander Township's most worthy citizens, a man always live to the interests of the township, and ready to do all in his power for its improvement and advancement.  He is truly a public-spirited man, one of whom his fellow-citizens may well be proud.
