MRS. ELIZA JANE HARDACRE
Mrs. Eliza Jane Hardacre, 87. died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clinton Gordon, Springfield, Route 1, after an illness of eight weeks. She was the widow of Hugh Blair Hardacre, who died Sept. 21, 1888. With the exception of five years spent in Champaign county, she had lived in Clark County all her life. Mrs. Hardacre had been a member of the Bethel Baptist Church for the last
63 years.
Two daughters, Mrs. J. I. Lauer. of Elida. O.. and Mrs. Gordon, at whose home she died; three sons, Benjamin E. Hardacre, of Jacksonville, Fla.. Jeremiah C. Hardacre, of Conover. O., and William B. Hardacre, of Springfield, Route 1; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. in the Bethel Baptist Church on the New Carlisle pk. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Sarah Rebecca GORDON. 82, of 135 Gordon Rd., died at 9:52 a.m. Thursday in City Hospital, following 10 days of serious illness. Mrs. GORDON, a Springfield resident for most of her life, was born in Ohio on Feb. 6, 1882, a daughter of William BLAIR and Eliza Jane LEFFEL HARDACRE. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, the Friendly Neighbors Club and W.C.T.U.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Clinton GORDON, Nov. 8, 1955.
Survivors include four sons, William Blair and Robert B., both of Springfield, the Rev. Edward C. GORDON of Zanesville, O., and Paul E. of Vandalia; a brother, William B. HARDACRE of Springfield; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home. The family requests that friends may make contributions to Radio Station
Springfield.

John D. C. Overton
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - John D. Clinton Overton, 72, died Tuesday in Springfield.
     The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Dennis L. Porter Funeral Home with Rev. Vurn O. Mullins officiating.  Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
     Mr. Overton was a native of Augusta and a retired custodian for the Springfield News and Sun newspapers.
     Survivors include a sister-in-law, Corine Overton King, Springfield.
