Feb. 2, 1922
 
     Mrs. Rosa Bishop Weir, wife of Frank Weir, a former resident of Lock, died Wednesday morning at her home in Marengo, after a long illness of a complication of diseases. Burial will be made in Bloomfield cemetery, near Centerburg.
 
     Samuel Stokes, aged 86 years, died at his home at 210 Greenwood avenue, on Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock, following a two years' Illness of a complication of diseases. Funeral services will occur Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Miller & O'Bryan's chapel, North Main street, Rev. D. C. Coburn officiating. Burial in Mound View cemetery.
 
     Logan Ayers Wills, aged 29 years, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Hersey, 71 Howard street, Tuesday evening at 6:45 o'clock, following a long illness of sugar diabetes. Mr. Wills was a well-known electrician of this city. He was a member of Mt. Vernon lodge, No. 140, B. P. O. Elks, and a member of Timon lodge, No. 45, Knights of Pythias. He was a member of the Baptist church of Mt. Vernon. Besides his wife, Mrs. Lillian Hersey Wills, the deceased is survived by two daughters, Harriet Evelyn and Vivian Eleanor, his mother, Mrs. Anna Wills, two brothers, Lawrence and Howard, and a sister, Mary Wills, all of this city. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hersey, Rev. S. J. Cleeland and Rev. A. D. Mink officiating. Burial in Mound View cemetery.
 
     Mrs. C. E. Purdy, West Vine street, today received announcement of the death of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Rosa Butler, which occurred Wednesday afternoon at her home north of Brink Haven. Mrs. Butler was 40 years of age and is survived by her husband and five children. Mr. and Mrs. Butler formerly resided in South Vernon. The funeral is Friday afternoon and interment in the Brink Haven cemetery.

     Miss Katie Bricker of this city has received a message from Mattoon, Ill., announcing the news of the death of her oldest sister, Mrs. Rebecca Jane Ferrell, aged 88 years. The deceased was born and reared in Knox county and part of her married life was spent here. Mr. Ferrell is buried in Mound View cemetery. The funeral will be held from the Catholic church in Mattoon, Ill.

     Mrs. Elizabeth Ann, wife of James McGinley, died at her home in Morris township at 12:30 o'clock Friday night following a three days illness of obstruction of the bowels. The deceased was 75 years of age and is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Morris Haggerty of Fredericktown, Rollin McGinley of Cleveland, Walter McGinley and Mrs. Howard M. Huntsberger of this city. Also by two grandchildren Helen and  Robert Huntsberger, Mt. Vernon, a sister,  Mrs. R. E. Arthur of Cleveland. two brothers, Levi Braddock of Mt. Vernon and John D. Braddock of Fredericktown. Mrs. McGinley was a member of the Amity M. E. church. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 at the home. Interment in Forest cemetery at Fredericktown.

     Mrs. Atha Maffett, aged 69 years, died at her home on the Columbus road Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock following a two weeks' illness of bronchial pneumonia. The deceased is survived by her husband, John Maffett; a son, Walter Maffett; three grandchildren. Also by a brother and two sisters. The body will be shipped to Muncie, Ind., Sunday, for burial.
 
     Mrs. Emma A. Young, aged 83 years, a former resident of Gambier and well known in that community, died on Thursday at her home in Springfield, Mo., according to a message received today. The deceased is survived by three sons, Charles Young of Springfield, Mo., Dr. George Young of Chicago, III., and Rev. Leo Young of Whitefish, Mont. The body will be brought to Gambler, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 o'clock Sunday in the Church of the Holy Spirit. Burial will be made in College cemetery.
 
     George W. Ruick, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. Ruick died at his home in Lexington, O., Thursday afternoon at 11:30, following a short illness of typhoid fever. The deceased was 22 years of age and is survived by his parents. This wife, a daughter and one sister, Mrs. Fay Smith, Jr. of this city.
 
     Jacob B. Gaines, aged 89 years, two months and three days, a well-known citizen and pioneer resident of Mt. Vernon, died at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon at his home, 1201 West Chestnut street, of diseases incident to advanced age. The deceased was employed as a miller for a number of years, but for the last five years has been an invalid. He was a member of Mt. Zion lodge, No. O. F. & A. M. The deceased, leaves nine daughters, Mrs. Emma Arnold of Danville, Mrs. Robert Cunningham of Gambier, Mrs. James Bowman of Bladensburg, Mrs. H. K. Ballentine of Cambridge, Mrs. W. M. Payne,. Harry Yeager, Mrs. Charles Ha---man, of Mt. Vernon, Misses Maryl and Solora Gaines, residing at home; two sons, F. L. Gaines of Deerfield, O., and F. T. Gaines of Milwaukee, Wis. He is survived also by three sisters and one brother, namely: Mrs. Emma Hyatt, Mrs. Louisa White, Danville, Mrs. Sarah Workman, Loudonville, Uriah Games, Mt. Vernon, and by 29 grand-children and 37 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will occur at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon from the residence, Rev. A D. Mink of the M. E. church officiating. Burial will be made in Mound View cemetery, in the charge of the Masonic lodge.

     FREDERICKTOWN, Feb. 8 -- Mrs. Martha J. Fawcett, aged 84 years, died at 4:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at her home here, after several months' illness of diseases incident to advanced age. The deceased leaves one daughter, Miss Mabel Fawcett who has been employed at the local postoffice for several years. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday at the home, Rev. Stockdale of the M. E. church officiating. Burial will be made in Forest cemetery.

     GAMBIEL, O., Feb. 8 -- After an illness covering a period of several months, death came to
Dr. Andrew Durbin Welker, one of the leading medical men of this section of the state, at his home here at 8:30 last night. Doctor Welker was born October 22, 1847, in Howard township, Knox county, and was the son of William Elliott Welker and Rachael Durbin Welker. Dr. Welker grew up on the home farm and engaged in general farm work. He attended the country district schools and later a select school at Millwood. Later on he taught school for three years. He began his medical studies under Dr. D. S. Coleman, Dr. William T. McMahon and Dr. Robert Moffott of Millwood. He spent the winters of 1870, 1871 and 1872 in Louisville Medical college at Louisville, Ky., receiving his degree in the spring of the latter year. When General George W. Morgan was in congress, he furnished Dr. Welker with a scholarship In the college mentioned above. Dr. Welker came to Gambier after his graduation and here began the practice of his profession and where he remained until his death. Dr. Welker ranked high among the leaders of a community noted for the excellency of its professional talent. He was successful practitioner and kept well abreast of the times in all matters pertaining to his profession, having been a profound student of medical science. Dr. Welker was twice married, first in 1870, to Louisa White. To them two daughters were born, Minnie, deceased and Sarah E. of Gambier. Mrs. Welker's death occurred In 1875. The doctors' second marriage took place in May 1878, to Frances E. Colwill, who survives him. To this second union one son was born, Vincent B. Welker, who resides in Howard township. The doctor was a member of the County Medical Society, the State Medical society and the National Medical association. He always took an interest in those societies. Politically he was a Democrat, serving as a member of the Gambier board of education for many years. He also served in the town council and health officer of Gambler. Dr. Welker was  a member of the Catholic church. The funeral services will occur at St. Luke's Catholic church, Danville, Friday morning, February 10. Kindly omit flowers.

     At an early hour Monday morning death claimed one of St. Vincent de  Paul's most cherished members, Mrs. Catherine K. Hayes, wife of Edward J. Hayes, East Chestnut street. Her death was due to a complication of diseases. Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her loss three children: Catherine, John and Hubert. Also one sister, Mrs. H. T. Hayes or this city, two brothers, James A. Kelley of Akron and Frank T. Kelley of Marion, Ind. Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 9:00 o'clock from St. Vincent de Paul's church, mass being offered by Rev. Francis E. Culley, of St. Peter's cathedral, Cincinnati. Rev. Culley Is a nephew of Mrs. Hayes.  Interment in Calvary cemetery.

     Reno Heidy, aged 56 years, died at his home on East Ohio avenue Friday evening at 8:35 o'clock, following a long illness of a complication of diseases. The deceased is survived by the following children: Mrs. Josephine Dailey of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Ethel Frye and Mrs. Golda Frye of Holmesville, and Mrs. Ora Bennett of Martinburg.  Also by two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Horn of  Brandon and Mrs. Minnie Dunmire of Howard, and a brother, Thomas Heidy of Cuyahoga Falls. Funeral services will be held Monday morning  at 10:30 o'clock at Miller & O'Bryan's chapel, North Main street, Rev. Donald Wonders officiating. Burial in Mound View cemetery.

     Mr. L. G. Marple of Fredericktown received a telephone message from Columbus last evening telling of the death of Mrs. Laura Edwards, wife of L. D. Edwards. She was 52 years of age. Mrs. Edwards was well known in Mt. Vernon having moved here from Fredericktown several years ago, prior to moving to Columbus. Mrs. Edwards, whose maiden name was Laura Graham, was born in Mt. Vernon. Her grandparents lived on the Martinsburg road, about four miles out from Mt. Vernon. Her father, John Graham, conducted a grocery here for years and also ran the Commercial House for a number of years, going from here to Mt. Vernon and later to Columbus. She and her husband conducted a rooming house on East Gambier street during their stay in this city. Her husband was the publisher of the Fredericktown Free Press for several years while they resided in that village. Besides her husband, Mrs. Edwards is survived by three sons, Dr. Glenn, of Willard, Ohio; Mack of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Fred of Columbus. One sister, Mrs. Morgan Lafever of Fredericktown, also survives. The husband, L. B., Dr. Glenn Edwards and wife of Willard, Fred Edwards and wife, and Mrs. Kate Welsh of Columbus will accompany the remains here. McKendree Fremont the other son, was confined in his home in Pittsburgh by illness and did not know of his mother's death. The remains will be taken to Fredericktown Sunday noon and removed to the home of Mr. Marple where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. C. E. Stockdale of the M. E. church, and interment will be made in Forest cemetery. Mr. Marple is a first cousin of Mr. Edwards.
 
Feb. 17, 1922

     Word was received here on Monday of the death of Mrs. Walter Sharpnack of Los Angeles, California. Mrs. Sharpnack is a sister of Mrs. Jesse Lamson and Mrs. James Lamson of this city and formerly lived here. No details were given in the telegram.
 
     REDERICKTOWN, Feb. 15 -- Zachariah Zedaker, aged 78 years, a well-known farmer of this vicinity, died at 8 o'clock last night at his home, three miles northwest of here, after several weeks' illness of a complication of diseases. The deceased leaves one brother, Elmer Zedaker, of this place.

     LOCK, Feb. 14 --
David Clayton, 66 years old, died suddenly of apoplexy Sunday morning at his home west of this place. The deceased leaves three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Barber of Mt. Vernon, Nora Clayton at home, and Mrs. John Buxton of Croton. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the home, and burial was made in Croton.

     CENTERBURG, O., Feb. 14 --
Allen McClintick, aged 18 years, the son of Mrs. Belle McClintick, died at 5:30 o'clock this morning after a week's illness of influenza. The young boy was well known in the vicinity and was formerly employed at the Burke barber shop. Funeral services will occur Thursday afternoon from the home and will be private, Rev. Walker officiating. Burial will be made in Bennington chapel cemetery in Licking county.

     Mrs. Charity Pisel, aged 80 years, died at the Columbus state hospital at 3 o'clock, Tuesday morning, following an illness of several years. Mrs. Pisel, is survived by a daughter, Mrs. S. W.  Johnson of Manfield; two sisters,  Mrs. David Kunkle of Garrett, Ind., and Mrs. Mary Goodman of Batemantown, and the following grandchildren: Mrs. Hoy Dailey, H. L. Ransom and Lela Miller of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Myrtle Grubaugh, Miss Leslie Johnson and Miss Frances Johnson of Mansfield.  Funeral services will be held at the Waterford church on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Waterford cemetery.

     A telegram was received here today announcing the death of
Robert Curran, aged 84 years, which occurred at the Columbus State hospital this morning. The deceased has been a patient in the hospital for four years. Mr. Curran was a former resident of this city and was employed by the C. & G. Cooper Co. for many years, One brother, George Curran, of Philadelphia, Pa., survives. The body will be shipped to this city Friday noon, and will be taken to McCormick's chapel, South Main st. Funeral from McCormick's chapel Saturday morning at 11 a. m., Rev. W. H. Shields officiating. Burial in Mound View.
 
Feb. 21, 1922

     CHESTERVILLE, Feb. 20 -- Robert Taylor, aged 70 years, a well known farmer, who resided five miles southwest of this place, died at 9 o'clock Saturday owning, following a week's illness of pneumonia. The deceased leaves his wife and a daughter, Mrs. Guy Taylor. Funeral services will occur at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Mt. Pisgah church.

     Mrs. George Elliott, aged 66 years, mother of Supt. of Schools A. W. Elliott, died Sunday evening at her home in Bloomfield, O. Her death was due to pneumonia, after an illness of about 10 days, Mrs. Elliott is survived by her husband and several children. The funeral will occur at Bloomfield, Holmes county, Wednesday afternoon.
 
     Information of the death of Mrs. Fred Lindel, a sister of Mrs. Harry D. McCullough of North Main street, was received in Mt. Vernon Sunday from Lima. Mrs. Lindel passed away Saturday evening in the Lima hospital after an extended illness of abscess of the bowels. Mrs. McCullough and daughter had been called to Lima Saturday by a message announcing the serious condition of Mrs. Lindel and they were at her bedside when she passed away. Mrs. Lindel is survived by her husband, parents, and two sisters. Mrs. Lindel is known to a number of friends and acquaintances in Mt. Vernon by reason of frequent visits to this city. The arrangements for the funeral are not known here.

      Word was received here today announcing the death of
Mrs. Ella Silcott, which occurred at her home in Columbus at 11 o'clock Friday night.  The body will arrive here Monday and short funeral services  will be held at the McCormick chapel, South Main street, at 10 o'clock, Rev. David Pike  officiating. Burial in Mound View cemetery. Mrs. Silcott is survived by a number of relatives in this city, and was well known here.

     Mrs. Mary Ellen Pipes, aged 90 years, wife of the late Milton Pipes, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Luisna Baltzell, 300 South Division street, on Thursday evening at 10:05 o'clock, following a two weeks' illness of neuritis. Besides Mrs. Baltzell, the following children survive: Frank Pipes of Brink Haven, Mrs. Alice Dudgeon of Harrison township, Mrs. Catherine Engle of Howard, Edward Pipes and Elinor Pipes of Mt. Vernon. Twenty grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Susie Biggs of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Catherine Dial and Mrs. Drusilla Pipes of Gambier, also survive. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 12 o'clock at the Union Grove church, Rev. Walker officiating. Burial In Union Grove cemetery. Mrs. Pipes was a lifelong member of the Union Grove church.

     Mrs. Eliza Ann Moffitt, aged 67 years, died at the M. &. S. sanitarium at 7:30 o'clock Sunday evening, following a three weeks' illness of pneumonia. Mrs. Moffitt is survived by her husband, William H. Moffitt, and the following children: Mrs. Elsie Ransom of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Orvie J. Gibson of Hankow, China, Rev. Walter Gibson of Auburn, Mo., Frank Moffitt of Rochester, N Y. Mr. and Mrs. Moffitt resided in Academia. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30, at the home of W. A. Gibson, Academia, Rev. Detweller officiating. Burial in Mound View cemetery.

Feb. 24, 1922
 
     Sherman Evans, aged 28 years, a tenant on the farm of W. O. Fry in Butler township, four miles east of Millwood, Knox county, was crushed to death at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon when a large limb of a tree fell on him. Evans lived but thirty minutes after the accident. Late in the afternoon Evans had cut down a large tree and was trimming it up when one of the large limbs fell across his head and shoulders. His skull was fractured and his chest was badly crushed. Neighbors hastened to the scene. Thude McNabb was the first to reach the scene and rescued the man who was pinned down by the heavy limb. Evans was taken to the Fry home where a physician was called, but he lived but 30 minutes after the accident. Evans was 28 years, of age and is survived by a widow. He also has one baby, aged 7 weeks. 

R. K. Ball, aged 75 years, died Wednesday afternoon at his home on the Wooster road, north of Mt. Vernon. He had been ill for over two years with a complication of diseases. The deceased is survived by his wife and one sister, Mrs. James McManis of Mt. Liberty. The funeral will occur Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Miller & O'Bryan chapel, North Main street, Rev. E. A. Black officiating. Interment in Mound View cemetery. 

      Mrs. Laura Rinehart, aged 72 years, a resident of Mt. Liberty, died at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Mt. Vernon hospital, where she had been a patient since Monday. The deceased had been ill with a complication of diseases for several months. She is survived by one brother, T. D. Updike of Centerburg. Funeral services at 10:30 Friday morning at the home in Mt. Liberty, Rev. L. G. Walker officiating. Burial in the Mt. Liberty cemetery . 

     Mrs. Lydia Ann Gregory, aged 67 years, died at her home, 1010 West Chestnut street, at 10:15 o'clock Wednesday night following a week's illness of a complication of diseases. Mrs. Gregory is survived by the following children: Mrs. J. E. Irving, Harry Gregory, Charles Gregory, Mrs. Fannie Chrismun and Bonnie Gregory, all of this city, and Walter Gregory of Charlotte, Md. A brother, William Burkholder of Centerburg, and nine grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2, o'clock, at the home, Rev. W. H Shields officiating. Burial in Mound View cemetery

     CENTERBURG, Feb. 23
Mrs. Sarah Sceurman Higgins, aged 71 years, a former resident of this place, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of her daughter Mrs. Earl Ammond, at Leroy, O. Death was due to a complication of diseases. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Ammond, the deceased leaves two sons, Andy Sceurman of Columbus and Charles Sceurman of Mt. Vernon. The body will be brought to Centerburg and the funeral services will be held at 1:30 tomorrow at the M. E. church, Rev. Crawford officiating. Burial will be made in the Centerburg cemetery

     DANVILLE, Feb. 23 --
Miss Josephine Umphries, aged 79 years, died at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon the home of her nephew, May Umphries, who resides near the Pike church. Death was caused by diseases incident of advanced age. Funeral service at 10 o'clock Saturday, Rev. Totman officiating. Burial in the Pike cemetery. 

     Harry M. Brand, 38, of Utica, was run down by an interurban car in Newark Wednesday morning. He died two hours after the accident. Brand was the son of Winfield S. Brand of Utica.


Feb. 28, 1922 

     William Sullivan, aged 48, brother of Mr. Michael S. Sullivan, North Norton street, was killed early Sunday morning at Union Hill, New Jersey, according to a telegram received by Mr. Sullivan yesterday morning. No details were given in the message only that death resulted from an accident. The deceased was born in Mansfield but spent a large part of his life in Mt. Vernon. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Sullivan of North Norton street. The deceased learned the machinist trade at the plant of the C. & G. Cooper company. He spent several years in S. America and some time in Mexico. Just recently he moved to Union Hill, N. J., near New York City. Mr. Sullivan is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nettie Sullivan, and by three brothers: Michael S. of Mt. Vernon, Charles of Toledo and James of Brooklyn, N. Y. Michael Sullivan left Sunday evening for Union Hill, N. J., to attend the funeral, which will probably occur Tuesday morning. 

     LOCK, Feb. 27 --
Mrs. Isa Potter, wife of Glenn Potter, who formerly resided in this place, who now reside in Marengo, was found dead in bed at 2 o'clock this morning. Death was pronounced due to heart trouble, from which the deceased has been a sufferer for several months. Besides her husband she leaves two sons, also her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Clutter of this place, and two brothers. 

     Samuel Hinton Horn, aged 70 years, a well known farmer residing in Butler township south of Millwood, committed suicide Saturday afternoon by hanging. Despondency over ill health is said to have prompted the aged man to take his life. He had been an invalid for almost two years. About 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Mr. Horn went to the barn. Later in the afternoon Mrs. Horn went to the barn and discovered the lifeless body of her husband suspended from a rope attached to a rafter. Coroner C. L. Harmer was called to view the body. The deceased was 70 years of age and resided practically all of his life in Butler township. He is survived by his wife and three children. They are Mrs. Luther Lepley of near Gambier, Harry Horn and Cal Horn residing in Butler township. The funeral services occurred Monday afternoon at the home and burial was made in the Dennis cemetery near Bladensburg. 

     Miss Lorle Downs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Downs of Barberton, died at her home Thursday an illness of over a year. Miss Downs was 16 years old and a member of the Sophomore class of Barberton high school. Besides the parents, two sisters and two brothers survive: Mrs. Edna Culbertson, Miss Dorothy, Dallas and Lawrence. The body was brought to Mt. Vernon Sunday at 4:00 and taken to the home of her aunt, Mrs. Loraine Maynard, Quarry street. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9 o'clock at St. Vincent de Paul church. Interment in Calvary cemetery. 

     Miss Selora Gaines received a message today telling of the death of Miss Amelia E. Hurford, a former resident of Knox county, which occurred at her home in Norwalk on Thursday. The remains will be brought to Mt. Vernon, arriving here Saturday afternoon at 12:15 over the H. &. O. railroad, and will be conveyed to Hopewell church, where the funeral services will be held and interment made. Miss Hurford formerly resided near Hopewell. She was the daughter of Crawford and Mahala Hurford

     William Henry Harris, age 74, died at his home in Morris township at 6 o'clock Thursday evening, following a year's illness of heart trouble. The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Harris, and the following children: Fred and Dwight, of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Charles Fadley of Centerburg, Jessie and Clyde Harris of Fredericktown, Roy Harris, who resides at home, Mrs. Ray Willets of Millersburg. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Samuel Gilbert of Newark, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the home Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Burial in Mound View cemetery. 

     George Sheppard, aged 75 years, died at 11 o'clock Friday morning at his home near Batemantown. Death was due to dropsy after an illness of several months. The deceased, who was a civil war veteran, is survived by his wife, one son, Logan Sheppard and one daughter, Mrs. Amos Vernier, both residing near Batemantown. 

     BLADENSBURG, Feb. 25 --
Mrs. Priscilla Porterfield, aged 80 years, died at 5 o'clock this morning at her home here after several months illness of paralysis. The deceased leaves five children, namely, Mrs. Jessie Wright, Miss Mary Porterfield, Mrs. Stella Wolfe, Charles Porterfield, and Thomas Porterfield, all residing in Bladensburg. Funeral services will occur Monday afternoon in the Presbyterian church and burial will be made in the cemetery. 

    
Pierce Thayer was called to Newark Thursday evening by a message announcing the sudden death of his cousin, David Pierce of Beverly, O. The latter had been at Columbus before the pension examining board and was taken ill in Newark as he was returning to his home. Shortly after leaving the train at Newark he was taken ill and made his way to a hotel where he asked for a room and a physician. Within 20 minutes he had died. The cause of death was diagnosed as angina pectoris. David Pierce frequently had visited in Mt. Vernon at the home of George Thayer and Pierce Thayer. The last time he was here was but two weeks ago. He then appeared to be in normal health. In the late World war he served with the 37th division, A. E. F., overseas, seeing service on six fronts. He was gassed slightly at Vimy Ridge. He was 38 years of age and was unmarried. The arrangements for the funeral are not known here. 

    
Reva Jane, the three-days-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Swadner, 305 Walnut street, died Saturday evening at 7:30 o'clock following a short illness. Services were held this morning at 10 o'clock, burial in Mound View cemetery.
