Note Sources: Pictures of the Graves of I have Jacob, Gertrude, Rheinhard, and Carolina (Rheinhard's wife). On Jacob's stone there was a flag and a medal. I believe he must have fought in the Civil War at some point
As far as who came on the ship to America, I researched this in the Allen County Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In the books "Germans to America" volume 9 page 11 it shows the family.
They came on the ship Rhodes from Havre (France) to New York arriving 14 December 1854. The passenger list shows:
Seigel, Jacob age 44 male farmer
Gertrude age 39 female farmer
Rheinhard age 16 male farmer
Ferdinand age 9 male child
Catherine age 7 female child
Philipp age 5 male child
Regina age 3 female child
Lorenz age .09 male infant
After all these years I still have not been able to find out where they came from in Germany. I will keep trying. If you should find out, please let me know and I will do the same. I noticed in familysearch.org
Neudorf is given for them also. E-Mail from Susan Caloger dated 10/2803 on Catherine and her family

So, it appears Regina Brucken is our Jacob's daughter and Anton Brucken his son-in-law. This Jacob G. and Mary J. Schebel may have had a daughter Regina, but not the one that married Anton Brucken.
