Mary Goldsmith Burkholder, was born near Basel, Switzerland, Jan. 14, 1846; died at the home of her daughter, Mary Roth in Fulton Co., Ohio on Sept. 7, 1920, at the age of 74 year. 7 months and 23 days.  In 1869 she was married to Joseph Goldsmith with whom she came to America in 1883.  Her first husband died Feb. 3, 1888.  To this union were born 10 children, 23 of whom preceded her in death.  Her second marriage was with Bro. Samuel Burkholder of Allen Co., Ohio, in 1897.  She lived with him in matrimony 23 years, 7 months and 21 days.
She leaves to mourn their loss, her blind husband, 7 children, 24 grandchildren, 6 step-sons and 1 step-daughter, and 3 brothers.
Peter Goldsmith of Wauseon, Ohio, and Christian and John who are still in Switzerland.  Sister Mary united with the Amish Mennonite Church in her youth, and accepted Christ as her personal Savior, in whom she trusted, and who gave her strength to bear her lingering and painful afflictions, taking delight in His Word and comfort in His promises.
She fell peacefully asleep in the arms of her daughter Mary.  Her last words were "O my Savior come and take me home."  This she repeated three times.
And the prayers for us she prayed:
We thank God for such a mother.
Great and blessed we shall call her,
May her precepts be obeyed

Samuel Burkholder was born in Wayne Co., Ohio, April 24, 1838, and peacefully passed away at the home of his son, Elias Burkholder, near Bluffton, Allen County, Ohio, Dec. 21, 1920; aged 82 years, 7 months and 21 days.  He united with the Mennonite Church in early life, of which he was a faithful member until his death.  He was united in marriage to Lydia Steiner, Aug. 7, 1862, and lived happily with his companion until her death on Jan. 2, 1881.  To this union were born six sons and one daughter.  He was married a second time to Mrs. Mary Goldsmith on Feb. 9, 1897.  She was a devoted companion until her death, three and one-half months ago.  The deceased is also survived by two brothers and one sister.
   Funeral services were conducted on Sunday afternoon, December 26, at the Zion Mennonite Church near Bluffton, Ohio, by Paul E. Whitmer and N. O. Blosser

Clarence C. Stuckey, son of Christian P. and Magdalena (Lugbill) Stuckey, was born at Archbold, Ohio, Feb. 7, 1900; died at Northcrest Care Center, Napoleon, Ohio, of injuries resulting from a truck accident on Oct. 20, 1984; aged 84 years.  On Mar. 15, 1934, he was married to Anna Graber, who survives.
   Also surviving are one son (Roger) and 2 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.  He was a member of Lockport Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Oct. 23, in charge of Keith Leinbach and Jim Groeneweg; internment in Lockport Cemetery.

Hartman, Dorothy M. Graber, 78, Archbold, Ohio. 
Born: Nov. 18, 1915, Archbold, Ohio, to Eli and Nancy Goldsmith Graber.
Died: July 4, 1994, Toledo, Ohio.
Survivors - Children: Larry, Sharon Groves, Donna Groves; brothers and sister: Raymond, Vernon, Anna Stuckey; 6 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
Predeceased by: DeWitt Hartman (husband).
Funeral: July 7, Central Mennonite Church, by Wilmer Hartman and Lois Hartman.
Burial: Pettisville Cemetery.

Hartman, DeWitt, 75, Archbold, Ohio
Born: Callum, Illinois to Emanuel and Mattie (Blosser) Hartman.
Died May 3, 1991, at home.
Survivors:  Wife, Dorothy Graber; children: Larry, Sharon Groves, Donna Groves; 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; brothers and sisters: Herman, Elias, Lucie Thierry, Emma Poorman, Ruth Barnes.
Funeral: May 6, Central Mennonite Church, by Ross Goldfus and Dale Wyse.
Burial: Pettisville Cemetery.

Graber - Nancy Emaline, daughter of Joseph and Mary Goldsmith, was born in Neiweiler, Switzerland, April 17, 1878; passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Stuckey, Jan. 5, 1946; aged 67 years 8 mos. 19 days.  On Aug. 5, 1909, she was united in Marriage to Eli J. Graber, who survives.  This union was blessed with two sons (Raymond J. and Vernon F.) and two daughters (Anna Marie - Mrs. Clarence C. Stuckey and Dorothy Mae - Mrs. DeWitt Hartman), all of Archbold, Oh.
     She also leaves one brother (Jacob, Highmore, S.D.), 4 sisters (Barbara - Mrs. Serenus Ropp, Gibson, Ind.; Mrs. Mary Ross, Anna - Mrs. Ephraim Rufenacht, and Lydia, - Mrs. Simon Rufenacht, all of Archbold, Ohio), and many other relatives and friends.  Three sisters, one brother, and one grandchild preceded her in death.  She enjoyed good health until about two years ago, at which time she underwent a serious operation.  She recovered nicely, however, which she felt was in answer to her prayers.  About a year ago she underwent another operation and although successful, she never regained her health and resistance.  In youth she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and united with the Mennonite Church.  Her life was not without trials and disappointments, but her faith in the Lord and her fellowship with Him were always precious and sustaining.
     Funeral services were held at the Central Mennonite Church on Jan. 8 conducted by Jesse Short and Henry Wyse.  Text. Mal. 3:13 -18.
     Interment was made in the Pettisville Cemetery.

Graber, Eli J., son of Joseph and Rachel (Ferris) Graber, was born in Fulton Co., Ohio, near Archbold, Sept. 7, 1874; departed this life Jan. 3, 1955; aged 80 years, 3 months, 26 days. 
     On Aug. 5, 1909, he was united in marriage with Nancy Emaline Goldsmith, with whom he shared life's joys and sorrows for over 36 years.  This union was blessed with 2 sons (Raymond J., Archbold; Vernon F., Wauseon, (Ohio), 2 daughters (Anna Marie - Mrs. Clarence Stuckey and Dorothy Mae - Mrs. DeWitt Hartman, both of Archbold).
     Surviving are his 4 children and 9 grandchildren, besides many relatives and friends.  Preceding him in death are his companion, one grandchild, parents, and one sister.  He lost his mother at the age of 4 and his father when only 20 years of age.  He made his home with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Graber, and with neighbors and friends.  After the death of his wife, he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Dewitt Hartman.  He enjoyed good health until about 2_ years ago, when he was injured in an auto accident, from which he never fully recovered.  During this time he was taken care of by his daughter, Mrs. Stuckey.  He accepted Christ as his Saviour and united with the Central Mennonite Church in 1908, where he remained a member until the Lord took him home.  Funeral services were held at the Central Church in charge of Jesse Short and Simon Stuckey.

Emma Nofziger, (Goldsmith) daughter of the late Peter and Sophia Goldsmith, was born in Basel, Switzerland, January 31, 1882.  Died at the Memorial Hospital, Wauseon, Ohio, on March 22, 1953 at the age of 71 years, 1 month and 22 days.
     When eight years of age she came with her father to America and spent the remainder of her life in the vicinity of Archbold, Ohio.
     She was of a family of 16 children, 3 having preceded her in death.
     On December 10, 1903, she was united in marriage to Peter Roth and together they shared the joys and sorrows of life until March 29, 1925 when her husband was called to be with his Lord.
     It was in the early years of her married life when she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour, and was received as a member of the Central Mennonite church remaining a faithful member till God called her home.  This union was blessed with 7 children, Alfred of Onstead, Mich., Freman, Flossie, Mrs. Ralph Todd, Wilbur, Glen, Harvey, Velma Mrs. Ivan Weber, residing in this vicinity.
     On November 14, 1929, she was united in marriage to Jacob Nofziger having shared the blessings of life together for 8 years.  This union was broken by death on August 5, 1937.
     There preceded her in death her father and mother, husbands, two brothers and one sister.  Remaining to mourn her departure are her 7 children, 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 8 brothers and 4 sisters: (Louise), Mrs. Mott Hill; (Sophia) Mrs. Joe Rashley; John; Jacob; Ernst; Harry; Peter; (Arminda), Mrs. Emil Waldfogel; Jesse; Sam; Edward and (Almeda), Mrs. Alva Weber and a large host of relatives and friends.
     While her life was not without afflictions and trials, she was always seen to bear them without complaint.  She enjoyed sufficient health to be about her work keeping a home for her son Wilbur and herself, until about two days before her death when she suffered a heart attack and contracted pneumonia, which caused her death.
     She was always willing to make every sacrifice for the comfort of her family and her deep devotion and concern for the spiritual welfare of her children will always be remembered.
     We humbly submit to the Will of God who does all things well.

And still her silent ministry
Within my heart hath place,
As when on earth she walked with me,
And met me face to face.

Her life is forever mine;
What she to me ahs been
Hath left henceforth its seal and sign
Engraven deep within.

Peter C. Roth, was born near Archbold, Ohio, Aug. 25, 1871 and departed this life at his home on Sunday, March 29, 1925, after a number of hears of suffering, at the age of 53 years 7 months 4 days.  He was united in marriage to Emma Goldsmith, Dec. 10, 1903.  To this union were born 7 children, 5 sons and 2 daughters.
     He leaves his sorrowing widow, 5 sons, 2 daughters, 2 sisters, and many relatives and friends.  His parents and a brother preceded him in death.  At the age of 34 years he was converted and became a member of the Amish-Mennonite Church of which he was a member until death relieved him of his suffering.  His death to us is a hard blow and the shock is severe.  His friends had no idea that death was so near.  There was no time to say farewell to those who knew him and loved him so well.  "Our aching hearts will always say, The best we had has passed away."  Funeral services were held at the Central A. M. Church on Friday, April 3, conducted by Eli Frey and S. D. Grieser.  Interment in Eckley Cemetery.

Jacob Nofziger, Jr., son of the late David and Barbara Nofziger, was born near Archbold, Ohio, Oct. 12, 1877.  After a lingering illness of 18 months with that dreadful disease (cancer), he peacefully passed away on the morning of Aug. 5, 1937; aged 59 years 9 monts, 23 days.  In 1907 he was united in marriage with Katie Roth who preceded him in death.
     On Nov. 14, 1929, he united in marriage a second time to Emma Roth.  He leaves his sorrowing wife, 7 step-children, 8 step-grandchildren, 2 brothers, 5 sisters, and a host of relatives and friends.  Bro. Nofziger was confined to his bed since Feb. 16 and at times suffered intense pain; but he bore it patiently to the end always remembering his blessed Lord who suffered so much for him.  Last November he renewed his covenant with the Lord and rejoiced that he could know that the Lord had spoken peace to his soul and often said, "He is all that I have."  "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth, yea saith the Spirit that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them."
     Funeral services were held Sunday morning, Aug. 8, 1937 at the Central Mennonite Church in charge of S. D. Grieser and S. S. Wyse.

Theophilus Riegsecker, son of Christian and Anna Riegsecker, was born near Archbold, Ohio on June 6, 1864, and died July 14, 1942 at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 18 days.
And his companion Frieda (Goldsmith) Riegsecker, only 20 hours before her husband, at the age of 63 years, 1 month, and 16 days.  On Jan. 10, 1899, they were united in marriage and this union was blessed with 8 sons, and 1 daughter.  One son Samuel and 4 grandchildren preceded them in death.  Together they leave to mourn their loss; seven sons: Harmon of Wauseon, Ohio; Lewis of Archbold, Ohio; Edward, Clarence, Benjamin, Theophilus, jr., Glen; and one daughter Carrie (Mrs. Amos Mast), all of Fayette, Ohio; 24 grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
     Theophilus was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four sisters.  He leaves one brother Christian and one sister Mary Short, both of Archbold, O.
     Frieda was also preceded in death by her parents, two half-brothers, and leaves one brother, John of Toledo, Ohio, and three sisters:  Louise (Mrs. Mott Hill) of Wauseon, Ohio; Mrs. Emma Nofziger of Archbold; Sophia (Mrs. Joseph Rashley) of Delta, Ohio; her stepmother, Mrs. Alberta Goldsmith, seven half-brothers: Jacob of Fayette, Ohio; Ernest, Harry, Peter, Jesse, Samuel, Edwards, and two half sisters: Arminda (Mrs. Amiel Waldvogel) and Almeda (Mrs. Alva Weber) all of Wauseon, Ohio.
     For some time their health had been failing, both suffering from arterial *scherodis, and only July 2, Theophilus suffered a stroke of paralysis after which he steadily declined until he passed away.
     Frieda, who was alone with her husband when he suffered the stroke, was greatly shocked, which brouht about coronary failure resulting in her death.
     Soon after their marriage they accepted Christ as their Saviour and united with the Mennonite church near Archbold, Ohio, of which they were members at the time of their death.   The family is greatly shocked and keenly feel their loss, but are confident that it is their Eternal gain.  "Parents dear, you're not forgotten, Though on Earth you are no more; Still in memory you are with us.
As you always were before
--'Neath our eyes you slowly faded
Growing day by day more frail;
Till God in his Heavenly wisdom,
Called you gently home.

Riegsecker, Theophilus, son of Christian and Anna Riegssecker, was born near Archbold, O., June 6, 1853; died July 14, 1942; aged 78 years 1 month, 18 days.
His companion, Frieda, daughter of Peter and Sophia Goldsmith, was born near Basil, Switzerland, May 27, 1879; and died July 13, 1942, only 20 hours before her husband, aged 63 years, 1 month, 16 days.
     Jan. 10, 1899, they were united in marriage.  This union was blessed with 8 sons and 1 daughter.  One son (Samuel) and 4 grandchildren preceded them in death.   Together they leave 7 sons (Harmon of Wauseon, O.; Lewis of Archbold; Edward, Clarence, Benjamin, Theophilus, Jr., Glen); and 1 daughter( Mrs. Amos Mast), all of Fayette, Ohio), 24 grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.  Theophilus was also preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 4 sisters.  He leaves 1 brother (Christian) and 1 sister (Mary Short) both of Archbold.  Frieda was preceded in death by her parents, 2 half brothers, and leaves 1 brother (John of Toledo) and 3 sisters (Mrs. Mott Hill of Wauseon, Mrs. Emma Nofziger of Archbold, Mrs. Joseph Rashley of Delta), her stepmother (Mrs. Alberta Goldsmith), 7 half brothers (Jacob of Fayette, O.; Ernest, Harry, Peter, Jesse, Samuel, Edward), and 2 half sisters (Mrs. Amiel Waldvogel and Mrs. Alva Weber) all of Wauseon, O.

Louis Riegsecker, son of Theophilus and Frieda (Goldsmith) Riegsecker, was born at Henry Co., Ohio, July 24, 1901; died at the home of her daughter at Stryker Ohio, Dec. 22, 1973; aged 72 years, 4 months, 28 days.  On Dec. 29, 1921, he was married to Della Stutzman, who preceded him in death on June 23, 1962.  Surviving are 7 children (Freeman, Orval, Donald, Earl, Virgie - Mrs. Stanley Aeschliman, Arlene - Mrs. Wayne E. Wyse, and Shirley - Mrs. Merle Klopfenstein), 24 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 2 brothers (Benjamin and Clarence).  Two sons and 2 daughters (Mildred, Louis, Jr., Florence, and Dale) preceded him in death.  He was a member of the Tedrow Mennonite Church.  Funeral services held at the Central Mennonite Church on Dec. 26, in charge of Charles H. Gautsche, Roy Sauder, and Archie Graber; interment in the Pettisville Cemetery.

Della Stutzman Riegsecker
Riegsecker, Della, daughter of Mose J. and Katie (Wyse) Stutzman, was born near Archbold, Ohio, Feb. 20, 1898; died at the Detwiler Memorial Hospital, June 23, 1962; aged 64 years, 4 months, 3 days.  On Dec. 29, 1921, she was married Louis Riegsecker, who survives.  Also surviving are 4 sons and 3 daughters (Freeman, Orval, Donald, Earl, Virgie-Mrs. Stanley Aschliman, Arlene-Mrs. Wayne Wyse, and Shirley-Mrs. Myrl Klopfenstein), 16 grandchildren, one sister, Florence-Mrs. Ira B. Graber), and one brother (Roy).  Four children preceded her in death.  She was a member of the Tedrow Church.  Funeral services were held at the Central Church, June 26, in charge of Roy Sauder, Dale Wyse, and Charles Gautsche.

Reigsecker, Samuel, son of Theophilus and Frieda Riegsecker, was born in Henry Co., O., March 1, 1918; died near Fayette, Ohio, Feb. 25, 1935; aged 16 years, 11 months, 24 days.
     Several weeks ago he took sick with influenza.  Acute Bright's disease set in, but he was getting better, and was able to be about, when he had a relapse which very soon developed into double pneumonia, causing his death.  Samuel was the youngest of a family of 9 children.  He leaves his parents, 7 brothers, 1 sister, and many near relatives and friends.
     Funeral services were held at the Central A. M. Churhc, Feb. 28, by S. D. Grieser of Archbold, and L. J. Miller of Missouri.  Text, Frev. 20:12.
Interment in Pettisville Cemetery.

RIEGSECKER, CHRISTIAN, Sept. 1st, in Fulton County, O., very suddenly
Christian Riegsecker, aged 78 years, 2 months and 14 days.  In the evening he retired to rest in his usual health, and before his daughter went to sleep she heard him in his room saying, "O how unwell I am," and when she came to him he could not speak and shortly after expired.  He was a brother in the Amish church, leaves a bereaved daughter.  Buried on the 3rd.  Services conducted by N. King and C. Freienberger.

Mary Goldsmith Roth, daughter of Joseph and Mary Goldsmith, was born in Neuwieler, Switzerland, March 6, 1871; passed away at the home of her daughter (Mrs. Solomon Beck) Nov. 26, 1949; aged 78 years 8 months, 20 days.  At the age of twelve she came with her parents to the United States and located in the Archbold, Ohio, community, where she spent the remainder of her life.  On Feb. 14, 1895, she was united in marriage to Joseph Roth, who passed away May 26, 1908.  To this union were born one son (Aaron J., of Wauseon, Ohio) and 2 daughters ( Amanda, who died in infancy and Clara-Mrs. Solomon Beck, Archbold).  She had made her home with her daughter for twenty-two years.  In early teenage she accepted Jesus as her personal Saviour and was accepted and received into the Central Amish Mennonite Church near Archbold, remaining faithful until death.  Her faith in the Lord and her fellowship with Him sustained her through trials and disappointments.  She was devote to God and His Word and to the church and often expressed her belief in the goodness of God.  Four years ago her health began to fail and she was confined to her home.  Her husband, one daughter, one grandchild, her parents, 4 sistres, and 2 brothers predeceased her.  Surviving besides her 2 children are 7 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, 3 sisters (Barbara-Mrs. Serenus Ropp, Bloomington, Ill.; Anna-Mrs. Ephraim Rufenacht, Lydia-Mrs. Simon Rufenacht, both of Archbold, Ohio), 3 stepbrothers (Menno, John, and Reuben Burkholder), and a large number of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services were held at her home and at the Central Mennonite Church Nov. 30, with Simon Stuckey, E. B. Frey, Henry Wyse, and Roy Sauder officiating.  Text: Ps. 16:11.  Interment was made in the Eckley Cemetery, Fulton Co., Ohio

Aaron J. Roth, son of Joseph and Mary (Goldsmith) Roth, was born at Wauseon, Ohio, Oct. 31, 1897; died at the home near Wauseon, Ohio, Apr. 12, 1981; aged 83 years.
     On Oct. 1, 1925, he was married to Susie Seigel, who survives.  One daughter (Shirley Mae) died in 1936.  He was a member of Tedrow Mennonite Church.
Funeral services were held at Short Funeral Home on Apr. 15, in charge of Randall Nafziger and Carl Yoder; interment in Eckley Cemetery.

Susie J. Seigel Roth, daughter of John and Susie (Yoder) Seigel, was born in Fulton Co., Ohio, Aug. 3, 1906; died of cancer at Wauseon, Ohio, Feb. 11, 1987; aged 80 yrs.  On Oct. she was married to Aaron Roth, who died on Apr. 12, 1981.  Surviving are 2 half sisters (Jane and Blanche Seigel) and 2 stepbrothers (Frank and Louis Daniels).  She was preceded in death by one daughter (Shirley Mae).  She was a member of Tedrow Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Feb. 13, in charge of Randall K. Nafziger; interment in Eckley Cemetery.

Shirley May Roth, only child of Aaron and Susie Roth, was born near Pettisville, Ohio, March 19, 1933.  On Sunday morning, June 28, 1936, the family were about ready to leave home but went out to the barn to attend to something at the barn and the child somehow got fire to her clothes.  The parents heard her cries, found her all aflame and thus meeting her early death, passing away Sunday evening at 5 o'clock at the age of 3 years, 3 months, 9 days.  She leaves her deeply bereaved parents, who are very lonely and broken hearted through the loss of the one they loved so much because of the joy and comfort it brought to the home day by day.  Her cheery disposition endeared her to all who knew her.
    She also leaves 1 grandmother, 1 great-grandmother and other near relatives and friends.  Funeral services were held July 1 at the Central Mennonite Church, in charge of E. B. Frey assisted by S. S. Wyse.  Text, Mat. 19:14.   Burial in Eckley Cemetery.

Peter Goldsmith was born in Neuweiler, Germany, Jan. 1, 1854; died Jan. 17, 1933, at his home near Wauseon, Ohio; aged 79 years 16 days.  He was united in marriage in 1876 to Sophia Seifert.  To this union were born 5 children, 1 son and 4 daughters.  His wife died in 1886 while yet in Switzerland.  The following year Bro. Goldsmith and his family of 5 children came to America and located in Archbold, Ohio, but later moved on a farm and lived there the rest of his life.  In 1891 he was married to Alberta Seifert.  To this union were born 11 children, 9 sons and 2 daughters.  He leaves to mourn his departure his sorrowing wife, 14 children, 47 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, together with a large circle of relatives and friends.  His first wife, 2 sons, and 2 great-grandchildren preceded him in death.  He united with the Mennonite Church while yet in Switzerland and when he came to Archbold, Ohio, he became a member of the Mennonite church there and remained a member until death.
     Funeral services were held at the Central A. M. church Jan. 20 in charge of S. D. Grieser, assisted by Henry Rychener.  Text, Heb. 13:14.  Burial in Eckley Cemetery.

Alberta Seifert Goldsmith, daughter of Rudolph and Cathrine Seifert, was born in Binningen, near Basel, Switzerland, May 5, 1871; passed away at her home, near Wauseon, Ohio, Sept. 27, 1948; aged 77 years, 4 months, 22 days.  On March 3, 1891, she was united in marriage to Peter Goldsmith, who preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1933.  In her youth she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and united with the Reformed Church  in Switzerland.  At the age of nineteen she came to this country and transferred her membership to the Central Mennonite Church, Archbold, Ohio.  She was a hard-working mother and had her share of trials, which she met with Christian fortitude.  On Sept. 11 she suffered a heart attack and paralysis, which resulted in her death.  During her illness she gave a testimony of peace and expressed a desire to be with her Lord.  Surviving are 7 sons (Jacob, Fayette, Ohio; Ernest, Harry, Peter Jr., Jessie, Samuel, and Edward, Wauseon, Ohio), 2 daughters (Mrs. Armanda Waldfogel and Mrs. Almeda Weber of Wauseon), one stepson (John Goldsmith), 3 stepdaughters (Mrs. Louise Hill, Mrs. Emma Nofziger, and Mrs. Sofia Rasuley), 28 grandchildren, one sister (Mrs. Selma Clark), and a large number of other relatives and friends.  Two sons (frank and Daniel) and one stepdaughter Mrs. Frieda Reigsecker) predeceased her.  Funeral services were held at the Central Church, in charge of Jesse J. Short and Henry Wyse.

Frank Goldsmith, son of Peter and Alberta Seibert Goldsmith, was born in Fulton Co., O., Mar. 5, 1895; died, after a sickness of 18 days, on May 27, 1923; at the age of 28 years, 2 months, 22 days.  He was united in marriage to Lydia Sauder, Jan. 9, 1918.  He leaves his sorrowing widow, 2 little children (Alberta Mae and Helen M.), his parents, 9 brothers, 6 sisters, together with many relatives and friends to mourn their loss.  Bro. Frank confessed Jesus as his personal Savior about 6 years ago and united with the Amish Mennonite Church.  He remained a faithful member until death.  Funeral services were held at the Central A. M. Church near Archbold, O., on May 30, 1923, conducted by E. L. Frey and S. D. Frieser.  Interment in Eckley cemetery.

Caroline Sauder Goldsmith, daughter of Daniel and Barbara Sauder, was born at Pettisville, Ohio, May 31 1898; died of cancer at her home near Wauseon, Ohio, Sept. 1, 1962; aged 64 years, 3 months, 1 day.  On Feb. 26, 1918, she was married to Harry Goldsmith, who survives.  Also surviving are 4 daughters (Mrs. Alma Weber, Mrs. Fern Weyandt, Mrs. Zelma Castor, and Mrs. Ethel Junge), 6 sons (Harley, Ernest, Herman, Wayne, Richard, and Clarence), 30 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.  Two brothers and 3 sisters preceded her in death.  Funeral services were held at the Pilgrim Holiness Church, Sept. 3, in charge of Rev. Powell and Roy Sauder.

Clara Beck, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Goldsmith) Roth, was born near Wauseon, Ohio, Feb. 10, 1902; died at the Detweiler Memorial Hospital, Wauseon, May 14, 1966; aged 64 years, 3 months, 4 days.  On March 20, 1920, she was married to Solomon Beck, who died Oct. 5, 1958.
     Surviving are 5 daughters and 2 sons (Beulan-Mrs. Jesse Armstrong, Ilva-Mrs. David Bontrager, Irene-Mrs. Paul Meyer, Doris-Mrs. Roger Short, Betty-Mrs. Roland Richer, Edwin, and Richard), one brother (Aaron), 21 grandchildren, and 4 stepgrandchildren.  She was a member of the Central Church, where funeral services were held May 17, in charge of Charles H. Gautsche and Dale Wyse.

Solomon Beck, son of John and Regina (Reigsecker) Beck; born Aug. 7, 1895, near Archbold, Ohio; died Oct. 5, 1958, following surgery at the Memorial Hospital, Wauseon, Ohio; aged 63 years, 1 month, 28 days.  Married on March 2, 1920, near Archbold to Clara Roth, who survives.  Also surviving are 7 children (Edwin, Richard, Beulah-Mrs. Jesse Armstrong, and Mrs. Ilva Stuckey, all of Archbold; Irene-Mrs. Roger Short, Fremont, Ohio), 13 grandchildren, 3 brothers (Christ, Stryker, Ohio; Henry and John of Wauseon), and 3 sisters (Ann, Arminda and Mary, all of Archbold.)  Member of the Central Church where funeral services were held Oct. 9, with Jesse J. Short and Roy Sauder officiating; interment in Pettisville Cemetery.

Rufenacht, Anna, Daughter of Joseph and Mary Goldsmith, was born in Neuweiler, Switzerland, April 23, 1877, and immigrated to America with her parents in NOvember, 1883.
   On October 4, 1911, she was united in marriage with Ephraim Rufenacht, residing near Archbold, Ohio, where they shared life's joy and sorrow over 42 years.  On the evening of Jan. 8, 1954, after an illness of over two years she fell asleep in Jesus at the age of 76 years, 8 months, 15 days.  This union was blessed with one daughter (Charity-Mrs. John Crossgrove, Archbold, Ohio).  She leaves to morn her departure her husband and daughter, 5 grandchildren (Ruth Ann, Ronald, Roger, Robert, and Rose Mary), 2 sisters (Mrs. Barbara Ropp, Bloomington, Ill. and Lydia-Mrs. Simon Rufenacht, of Archbold), one stepbrother (John Burkholder, Columbus Grove, Ohio), besides a host of other relatives friends.  In youth she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and united with the Central Mennonite Church, where she remained faithful to the end.  Funeral services were held at the Central Church with Jesse J. Short and Simon Stucky in charge.

Crossgrove, Charity Rufenacht, 88, Archbold, Ohio, died Oct. 10.
Spouse: John Crossgrove (deceased).  Parents: Ephraim and Anna Goldsmith Rufenacht (both deceased).  Survivors: children Ronald, Roger, Robert, Ruth Ann McQuillin, Rose Mary Rupp; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Oct. 13 at Central Mennonite Church, Archbold.

Crossgrove, John Roger, son of Roger and Mabel Ann (Schrock) Crossgrove, was born at Wauseon, Ohio, Aug. 5, 1974; died at Toledo Hospital on June 21, 1974; aged 10 months.  Surviving are his parents, one sister (Jill), maternal grandparents (Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Schrock), and paternal grandmother (Mrs. Charity Crossgrove). 
   Funeral services were held at the Central Mennonite Church on June 24, in charge of Charles H. Gautsche; interment in Pettisville Cemetery.
