TENT CHURCH CEMETERY
(Centre Cemetery)
This cemetery is between Smithfield and New Alexandria, on St. Rd. 151.  About 1803 the church services here were held in tents.  The deed for the land for the first church, which was Presbyterian, was dated 1826, from John Jackson to the church trustees.  The first burial was in 1810.  Many stones are illegible or buried or broken.  It is well kept.
