ALLEN DALRYMPLE of YOUNGSTOWN Started as Clerk.
YOUNGSTOWN, O., June 21 - Funeral services will be held here
Thursday afternoon for Allen T. Dalrymple, 58, an attorney
and assistant secretary of the Dollar Savings & Trust Co.
Mr. Dalrymple died last night at North Side unit
of Youngstown Hospital where he had been a patient 10 days. He
has been in ill health two years.
He came here 41 years ago to work for the Lake Shore
Railroad as a clerk. He worked for the General Fireproofing
Co., Swift & Co. and the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. before joining
the City Trust & Savings Bank as a real estate officer and assistant
secretary and trust officer in 1924.
Active in the Masons
When the Dollar Savings bought the City Bank in
1947, he went with the former concern as assistant secretary.
He was a graduate of Salem Business College and
received his law degree from Youngstown Law School.
He was a member of the Mahoning Bar Association, the
Western Star Lodge, F. and A. M.; Youngstown Chapter, St. John's
Commandery; Al Koran Temple of the Shrine; Trinity Methodist Church,
the Tippecanoe Country Club, the Optimist Club, and was a past
president of the Youngstown Shrine Club.
His widow, Beatrice; a son, Allen J.
Dalrymple of Canfield, and a daughter, Mrs. Drew L. Deible
of Canfield, and three sisters, Mrs. Clifford R. Paisley,
Mrs. Edwin T. Sonne, Mrs. Joseph J. Rudge, jr., all of
Youngstown, survive. |
