(There was court case of the State of Ohio vs. Wm. Carr - manslaughter argument in bloody 4th ward of Dayton between Carr and Bower.  Bower resides Harrison twp. & was German - argument over lection Bower died result of hemorrage - Carr not guilt of manslaughter but assault & battery) (Sat. May 10, 1845)

     Jacob Stutsman died last Wednesday resides 2nd St. (Sat. Jan. 11, 1845)  Jacob Stutsman native of Maryland born 4 Jan. 1801 and died 8th, inst. 44 years 4 days.  Came to Dayton 34 years ago.  Leaves widow and 4 children.

     Capt. Richard P. Kylen of Dayton while engaged in breaking ice on the canal on 27th. ult. just above town fell overboard & drowned.  Found on Sunday & buried in Church yard.  Said to have relatives in Michigan.

Peter Alghinbaugh of Dayton died Wednesday 2 July.  Born Berlin, Adams Co., Pa. March 31, 1777.  In 1810 had mercantile business in Chambersburg.  Business failed and in 1830 opened hardware business in Dayton.  2 children died here before he left Pa. he buried the mother of his family and one of his oldest sons.  Buried in the new cemetery Thurs. 3rd inst.

DRANK 22 WHISKIES, AND DIED.
An Ohio Man Disposes of 5-Cent Whisky, with Fatal Effect.
DAYTON, Ohio, Sept. 25, - George Zeigler
last evening stopped in a corner grocery where Daniel Alexander agreed to pay for all the liquor Zeigler would drink.
     Zeigler drank twenty-two glasses of 5-cent whisky, walked 200 yards toward home, sat down, and died.

AEROPLANE INVENTOR IS DEAD.
Wilbur Wright Died in Dayton, Ohio Thursday.
Dayton, Ohio, May 30. - Wilbur Wright,
inventor of the Wright aeroplane, died at his home here at 3 o'clock this morning.  He was ill ten days with typhoid fever.  The end came peacefully and relatives surrounded the bedside of the inventor.  He was born in Millvill, Ind. in 1867, and formerly conducted a bicycle shop in this city.  He then took up inventing flying machines and made his first successful flight in 1903.  He won great honors abroad for his inventions.  His latest invention was the gliding machine, which stays in the face of the wind.

CLYDE R. ROCKHIL, 67 of 1217 E. Second St., Dayton, died at 6:30 p.m. in a Dayton rest home following an illness of four days.  Mr. Rockhill was born in Rockport on Oct. 23, 1882 and had made his residence in Lima and Dayton for several years.  He was a member of the Rockport Methodist Church.  Surviving are a sister Mrs. W. H. Joseph and several nieces and nephews.  The body will remain at the Chiles and Son Funeral Home for services at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.  The Rev. Willard Thomas will officiate and burial will be at Blue Lick Cemetery.

HARLEY M. ROCKHILL.
Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon in the Wayne Funeral Home in Dayton for Harley H. Rockhill 60, formerly of Lima, who died Saturday in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, of injuries received when a truck struck him.  Rockhill reportedly was walking on the Harshmanville Road near Dayton when the accident occurred.  He was born in Rockport and had resided in Dayton for 19 years.  Surviving are his widow, Mary; a sister Mrs. Sylvia Joseph, Route 1; and a brother Clyde, Dayton.  Burial will be in Blue Lick Cemetery.
(NOTE:  Blue Lick Cemetery is in Allen County, Ohio)
