NOTES:
* Notes from Penny Christman Austin: I am a
descendant of Jacob and Elizabeth Margaret Christman from Bavaria
whom lived in your area for some time and died. They're also
in the Jerusalem Cemetery - the two sunken graves one marked Jacob
and the other, I think, just has Crisman or Christman on it and
there is no place else that they would be. There has to
be a will or probate record in that area or the caretaker of the
cemetery should have something or the Church records from back then.
Several Christman's lived in that area and I want some
acknowledgement of them there and it would be so good to see.
Many thanks. In the 1850 census you will see them there and
also if there is a farmers census in 1845 they should be on that.
Their daughter, Barbara married Peter Gobel. Also, there are
lots of family ties to Morgan County and surrounding counties.
