A flourishing post village on the P. C. & St. L. Railroad, about
two and a half miles north of Euphemia. It was founded by
Abraham Bankard, William S. Leas and Jesse Tillman.
Plat received for record, August 8, 1857. Post-office,
West Sonora. Plat of addition by H. Surface, H. McNutt and
others, received for record, June ad, 1862. Probably not
more than one addition since
