BLANCHARD TOWNSHIP,
PUTNAM TOWNSHIP, OHIO
Located in section 25 just west of the Hancock/Putnam county
line. Start at Highway US-224 at the county line.
Drive south over the Blanchard River for almost a mile.
After you come to a junction where a road goes straight east
only. Park your car there and follow the fence row
that goes straight west, about 300 or 400 yards back there
you will enter the woodlot. Stones are about 25 yards
into the woods.
This unkept graveyard has only a few tombstones left,
and those that are here are broken in many places. Vandels
have all but destroyed this cemetery. The following is
what we were able to muster in December 1979. Missing
parts is because the stones are in pieces on the ground.
