GENERAL MARRIAGES DEATHS COURT XXXXX

From (Probably Versailles POLICY)
1911

PROMINENT FAMILY
----------
Strengthens the Bonds of Love in Big Reunion

The eighth annual reunion of the Pitsenbarger families was held at the same place as previous years in F. M. Pitsenbarger's grove, three miles north of Versailles, Sunday, September 3.
The day was an ideal one for the occasion and the attendance was even larger than before.  The forenoon was spent in hand shaking and renewing old acquaintances and forming new ones, and at the noon hour a most bountiful dinner was served to which all did ample justice.  After dinner a short program was rendered consisting chiefly of singing and recitations, and addresses were made by I. R. Pitsenbarger and Lon Tompson, which were very much enjoyed by the crowd.  Mr. Hiram Pitsenbarger sang a very beautiful song entitled "You'll never miss your mother till she's gone," and I. R. Pitsenbarger sang a song of (Old Glory) that brought a smile to the faces of the old soldiers.
Following the program was the Secretary's report, election of officers and deciding the place and date for the next reunion, viz:  F. M. Pitsenbarger's grove on the first Sunday in September 1912.  The crowd was then dismissed by prayer rendered by Mrs. H. H. Pitsenbarger and a song "God be with you till we meet again," after which all returned to their respective homes feeling that the day had been very pleasantly spent.
