EMANUEL CHURCH.
ST. LUKE'S
St. Luke's is
practically a "mission" of St. Paul's, having for its rector and
a majority of its vestrymen the rector and certain members of
St. Paul's Church. The church edifice was built by St.
Paul's. The church subsequently changed from "a "mission"
into a regularly organized parish, in union with the convention
of the diocese, but is still largely dependent upon the mother
church for support. It has a substantial brick edifice on
Broadway, near Cross street, and a comfortable rectory on the
same lot.
