THINK MAN IS VICTIM OF AUTO
BELLEVUE, Oct. 26 - (Special) -
John Miller, 25, was foundlying unconscious in front of
the William Korndorfer farm on the Columbus Pike, three
miles southeast of here, late this afternoon and rushed to the
Bellevue Hospital in the Atherton Ambulance.
Hospital attaches said tonight that the victim regained
consciousness a few minutes after arriving at the hospital and
claimed he was on his way to Columbus but had no home. He
was in a semi-serious condition, being cut about the head and
neck and it was impossible to determine the extent of his
injuries.
He was unable to talk much but it was supposed he was
the victim of a hit-skip motorist. This could not be
confirmed. His condition, after a careful examination was
said to be satisfactory.

BOWMAN FUNERAL TO BE THIS AFTERNOON
Funeral services for Samuel C. Bowman,
colored, an employe of the G. & C. Foundry Co., who died at his
home, 615 Austin st., Sunday at 1:45 a.m., will be conducted
Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Frey Funeral Home, with
the Rev. Mr. Tate and Rev. Mr. Brown, Homeville,
officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Mr. Bowmanhad been ill for only one week and was
aged 45 years and three months. He is survived by his
widow.--------------------
FUNERAL OF SMITH CHILD TO BE TODAY
NEW LONDON, Oct. 26 - (Special) - Theodore William,
infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Smith, died at the home
of his parents in Xenia at 3 a.m., Sunday. He was six and
one-half months of age.
He is survived by his parents, and Mr. and Mrs.
George Parnell, New Lodon, and the Rev. and Mrs. William
Smith Oberlin, grandparents.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning at
10 o'clock from the Fitch Funeral Home, New London, with the
Rev. W. B. Robinson officiating. Burial will be in
Fitchville Cemetery.

MILLER RITES TODAY
TIFFIN, Oct. 26 - (Special) Alexander Miller,
83, formerly of this city, died Sunday morning at the Seneca
County Home where he had been residing since the latter part of
August. The body was taken to the Pahl Funeral Chapel to
be prepared for burial. Funeral services will be held
Tuesday morning at 7:45 o'clock in St. Joseph's Church.
Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

WOMAN VICTIM OF DIPHTHERIA
Mrs. Arthur Wick Is Stricken; Son Died Oct. 18.
Mrs. Henrietta Krueger Wick, wife of Arthur Wick,
died Monday evening at 6 o'clock at Good Samaritan Hospital
following an illness of one week. Mrs. Wick was
aged 31 years, eight months and four days, and her death
resulted from diphtheria. The family resides at 522 E.
Market st.
Mrs. Wick's death followed soon after that of
her son, Irwin Anthony Wick, who died on Oct. 18.
Mrs. Wick was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving her are her husband, her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Krueger, Sr., of this city; four brothers,
Arthur, Karl and Lamar Krueger, all of this city, and
Fred Krueger, Jr. of Des Moines, Iowa; her grand-mother,
Mrs. Henrietta Krueger, of Sylvania, O.
Private funeral services and burial will be held
Tuesday afternoon, burial to be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
The funeral mass at St. Mary's Church will be held at a later
date. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Chas. J.
Andres' Sons.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR John E. Waterfield were held at the
residence Monday afternoon and were conducted by the Rev.
Gates E. M. Young. Burial was made in Oakland
Cemetery. The pall bearers were George Smith, Fred
Butts and John Mathis of the Eagles Ldoge, and
George Frey, John Goefe and George Gassmanof the City
Ice and Fuel Co.
