OBITUARY:
William Elmer DOMENY was born Nov. 7th, 1880 in
Vinton Co., Ohio and died July 7th, 1918 at Wichita, Kansa,
age 37 years and 8 months when he departed this life.
He moved to Kansas with his parents in 1885; moved on a
claim near Tonkawa, Okla., in 1894 and in 1905 he went with
his parents to Ford, Okla., where he has resided ever since.
On the 23rd of March 1910 he married Mrs. Mary
Chapman. He leaves to mourn his death a wife,
father, mother, four sisters and three brothers, Mrs.
Florence Hawkins of Tonkawa; Homer Domeny, who is
in France; Mrs. Zella Lucas of Tonkawa; Harry O.
Domeny of Ford, Okla; Pearley F. Domeny of Ponca
City; Mrs. Maybelle Hess of Red Rock and Miss
Hazel Domeny who still remains at home with the parents,
Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Domeny.
Elmer was a kind, loving, obedient son, husband and
brother as a man he was respected and well thought of by all
who knew him.
He joined the I. O. O. F. Lodge about eighteen years
ago. He has belonged to the Masonic order for a few
years. He lived up to the teachings of Masonry and Odd
Fellowship and all loved him who knew him.
The body was brought to his home at Ford July 8th and
funeral services were conducted by the pastor, Rev.
Lindsay at the Methodist church in Ponca City July 10th,
1918. The Masonic order of which he was an honored
member, took charge of the services from there and with
loving hands and their beautiful ceremony laid the loved
husband, son and brother to rest beneath a bed of flowers. |
