MARTIN GEORGE PAULEY was
born in Wooster in 1862, though raised in Massillon, Stark county,
Ohio. He was a student of law, in Wooster, with Alfred
J. Thomas, but attended the
Cincinnati Law College from which he graduated in 1890. He
began legal practice in Wooster, but removed to Massillon where he
is located.

WARREN RAMSEY. A son
of Commissioner, Warren
Ramsey, is a native of Wayne county,
and remained with his father on the farm, until he was sixteen years
of age, when he attended the Smithville academy, Wayne county, under
the tutelage of Prof. John H. Eberly,
one of the most successful and competent educators in northern Ohio.
He afterwards entered the University of Wooster, graduating
therefrom, in the class of 1887.
He studied law with the late Nelson Ferrell, of
Orrville, and after his admission to the bar, opened an office in
Orrville, where he is at present located. He is largely an
office lawyer, making a specialty of collections, conveyancing,
writing of wills, contracts, executing deeds, mortgages and settling
estates. In his business transactions he is reliable and
honest, and professional service committed to his management
receives careful attention.

BENJAMIN RUGGLES. Was
born in Windham county, Connecticut. He obtained the means for
receiving a classical education by teaching school in winter.
He studied law, and after his admission to the bar, removed to
Marietta, Ohio; and in 1810 was elected President Judge of the Court
of Common Pleas for the Third Circuit. He was elected, by the
Legislature, to the Senate of the United States from Ohio, serving
from 1815 to 1833; and from his well-known habits of industry and
constant devotion to the interests of his constituents, he was
called, "The Wheel-horse of the Senate." In 1837 he was a
Presidential Elector. He died at St. Clairsville, Belmont
county, Ohio, Sept. 2, 1857. He held court in Wooster as early
as 1812.
