WARREN RAMSEY.   A son of Commissioner, Warren Ramsey, is a native of Wayne county, and remained with his father on the farm, until he was sixteen years of age, when he attended the Smithville academy, Wayne county, under the tutelage of Prof. John H. Eberly, one of the most successful and competent educators in northern Ohio.  He afterwards entered the University of Wooster, graduating therefrom, in the class of 1887.
He studied law with the late Nelson Ferrell, of Orrville, and after his admission to the bar, opened an office in Orrville, where he is at present located.  He is largely an office lawyer, making a specialty of collections, conveyancing, writing of wills, contracts, executing deeds, mortgages and settling estates.  In his business transactions he is reliable and honest, and professional service committed to his management receives careful attention.

BENJAMIN RUGGLES.  Was born in Windham county, Connecticut.  He obtained the means for receiving a classical education by teaching school in winter.  He studied law, and after his admission to the bar, removed to Marietta, Ohio; and in 1810 was elected President Judge of the Court of Common Pleas for the Third Circuit.  He was elected, by the Legislature, to the Senate of the United States from Ohio, serving from 1815 to 1833; and from his well-known habits of industry and constant devotion to the interests of his constituents, he was called, "The Wheel-horse of the Senate."  In 1837 he was a Presidential Elector.  He died at St. Clairsville, Belmont county, Ohio, Sept. 2, 1857.  He held court in Wooster as early as 1812.
