ANTHONY A. SUCCI 
ASHTABULA -- Anthony A. Succi, age 90, a resident of Ashtabula, Ohio, and a 
loving father and friend, died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at the Country Club 
Retirement Center. 
    
Born November 9, 1915, in Ashtabula, he was a son of the late Giovanni and 
Carmela (Bucci) Succi, and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. 
    
Mr. Succi was retired from Pipe Fitters Local #120, and a member of the VFW, and 
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. 
    
He enjoyed golf, dancing, baseball, and the Cleveland Browns and Indians. 
    
Survivors include his daughters, Lorraine Clayton of San Diego, California, and 
Micheline Succi and her husband Joe Labrozzi of Davenport, Florida; grandson, 
Drew Clayton of Santa Monica, California; sisters, Irene Hofstetter of Orange, 
California, and Connie Pallutch of Ashtabula; and his companion, Jane Loveridge 
of Ashtabula. 
    
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ghislaine Succi; brothers, 
Tommy, Sam, Angelo, and Joseph Succi; and sisters, Pauline Galvin and Mary 
Maunus. 
    
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at Our Lady of Mount 
Carmel Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens. 
    
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at the GUERRIERO 
FUNERAL HOME, 1550 West 19th Street, Ashtabula. 
 
FLORA M. HINES 
JEFFERSON -- Flora M. Hines, age 83, formerly of Black Sea Road, Jefferson, 
Ohio, died Friday afternoon, March 31, 2006, at the Jefferson Health Center, 
where she had been a resident for the past five years. 
    
Born October 10, 1922, in Bridgeport, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late 
George W. and Maude M. (Linger) Evans, and has been a resident of Ashtabula 
County most of her life, living in Hartsgrove, Dorset and Jefferson Townships. 
She was married to Wayne J. Hines on June 13, 1939, in Hartsgrove Township. 
    
Mrs. Hines enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, artwork, gardening, and taking care of 
children. 
    
Survivors include eight children, Arlene J. Yarish of Gladewater, Texas, Ray W. 
Hines of Dorset Township, Holly J. Paisely of Warren, Shirley L. Martin of 
Seattle, Washington, Ted A. Hines of Geneva, Kathy C. Selzer of Dorset Township, 
Tom J. Hines of Rome Township, and Mary J. Babnick of Bedford, Virginia; 36 
grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several 
great-great-grandchildren. 
     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne, in 1974; four 
children, Margie A. Burns, Ronald L., Candy K., and William J. Hines, all in 
infancy; two brothers, Daniel and Clarence Evans; and two sisters, Hazel Evans 
and Dollie Brisben. 
    
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at the Jefferson 
Home of the FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 49 West Jefferson Street, 
Jefferson, with Pastor Michael Williams of the Lenox Federated Church, 
officiating. Burial will be in Lenox Center Cemetery. 
    
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, April 3, 2006, at the 
Funeral Home.

PAUL MALINCHAK 
ASHTABULA -- Paul Malinchak, age 76, of 3925 North Ridge Road East, Lot #15, 
Ashtabula, Ohio, formerly of Brook-field, Ohio, died Friday, March 31, 2006, at 
home after an extended illness. 
     Mr. Malinchak was born in Washington County, 
Pennsylvania, on April 21, 1929, a son of the late Andrew and Anna Malinchak. 
Following high school, Paul joined the U.S. Army to protect our freedom during 
World War II, achieving the rank of SGT. 
     Paul worked as a Tool Engineer for National Forge, 
Erie, Pennsylvania. He was an established inventor and patent holder. 
     In his spare time, he enjoyed football and basketball, 
as well as spending time with his granddaughters. Paul also had a talent to 
design and build houses. 
     Survivors include three children, Michael Malinchak of 
Ashtabula, Thom-as Malinchak of Chesterland, Ohio, and Joy Timpe of Ashtabula; 
sister, Ellen McIver of New Castle, Pennsylvania; and granddaughters, Anna Timpe 
and Sabrina Malin-chak. 
     He was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, 
Joan E. (Berkley) Malinchak, whom he married October 28, 1950, and who died 
March 28, 2002; by his brothers, John, Steve, Mike, Frank, and Andy Malinchak; 
and by his sisters, Mary Posego and Ann Grego. 
     Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, 
April 5, 2006, at MADASZ FUNERAL CHAPEL, 6923 Warren-Sharon Road, Brookfield, 
Ohio 44403, with Reverend Geraldine Williams, Chaplain of the Hospice of Sharon, 
officiating. Burial will be private.

BOB G. HALL 
MADISON -- Bob G. Hall, age 76, a resident of Madison, Ohio, since 1954, died 
Saturday afternoon April 1, 2006, at his home. 
     Born August 17, 1929, in Bluefield, West Virginia, he 
was a son of the late Sebert J. and Elsie L. (Horn) Hall. On June 21, 1952, he 
married Gertrude Ward at the Old Stone Church in Cleveland, Ohio. 
     A Veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member of 
Ironworkers Local #17 in Cleveland for 56 years. He also owned and operated 
Faball Company in Madison for 36 years. 
     Mr. Hall enjoyed fishing, boating, and building models. 
     Survivors include two daughters, Cindy (Reilly) Smith 
of Dublin, Ohio, and Janet (Carl) Dodaro of Leroy Township; a son, Robert (Jean) 
Hall of Unionville; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. 
     He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, 
Gertrude; a brother, Emery; and great-granddaughter, Raven Grace Christo. 
     Funeral Service will be 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4,

JULIA E. NAPOLI 
ASHTABULA -- Julia E. Napoli, age 89, a longtime resident of Ashtabula, 
Ohio, died Friday, March 31, 2006, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. 
     Born November 15, 1916, in Conneaut, Ohio, she was the 
daughter of Angelo and Lina Gustaferro. Mrs. Napoli was a graduate of Conneaut 
High School. 
     She worked for the Ashtabula County Treasurer's Office 
for many years and recently lived at the Ashtabula County Nursing and 
Rehabilitation Center. 
     Julia had many varied interests and was most dedicated 
to warmly caring for her family and those in need. She was a member of Mother of 
Sorrows Church. 
     Survivors include her husband, Francis Napoli of 
Ashtabula; daughter, Mary Jo Napoli of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Joanne Kapsanis 
of Erie, Pennsylvania; brother, William Gustaferro of Rocky River, Ohio; and 
many nieces and nephews. 
     She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mae 
Lignetta, Louise Candela, Clara DiMare, and Elma Byrd; and brothers, Joseph 
Gustaferro and Armand Gustaferro. 
     Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 
2006, at Mother of Sorrows Church, 1464 West 6th Street, Ashtabula, Ohio, with
burial to follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. 
     Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on

Robert 'Bob' Robertson, age 72 of Austinburg, Ohio, died Sunday, Apr. 
2, 2006 at South Point Hospital in Warresville Heights. 
     Born Mar. 6, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of 
the late Frank and Florence (Wahls), and he graduated from Cleveland State with 
an Electrical Engineer degree. 
     A member of the First Congregational United Church of 
Christ in Jefferson, he retired from Reliance Electric in 1997.

Chardon, Robert (Melodie) Robertson Jr. of Waipahu, Hawaii, Cindy (James) 
Hubright of San Antonio, Texas, Andrew of Ashtabula, Edward (Cassandra) of 
Cleveland, and Thomas of Geneva; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 
a sister, Joan (George) Solti of Saybrook. 
     He was preceded in death by a brother, James; and his 
parents. 
     Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 7, 
2006, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 41 E. Jefferson St., 
Jefferson, with Reverend Bruce Larson, Pastor, officiating.  Burial will

RICHMOND TWP. - Shirley P. Dick-Chapman, age 85 of Richmond Township, 
Ohio, died Monday, April 3, 2006 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio 
     Born December 5, 1920 in Greenville, Pennsylvania, she 
was a daughter of Ralph Grover an Wilda Ellen (Anderson) Reigleman. 
     A long-time Richmond Township resident, Mrs. Chapman 
was employed by Pymatuning State Park doing cleaning for many years, and she was 
formerly employed by Shellito potato farm. 
     Mrs. Chapman was a member of the Comunity of Christ 
Church in New Hamburg, Pennsylvania and attended the

MARY ANN DISALVATORE 
ASHTABULA -- Mary Ann DiSalvatore, age 76, a resident of Ashtabula, Ohio, died 
Monday, April 3, 2006, at her home following a courageous six-month battle with 
brain cancer. 
    
Born April 18, 1929, in Ashtabula, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and 
Lucille (Fadel) David. A life-long resident of Ashtabula, she was as proud of 
her city as she was of her Lebanese roots. 
    
A 1947 graduate of Ashtabula High School, she attended Ohio Business College. 
She was co-owner of David Brothers Confectioners Store on Main Avenue in 
Ashtabula, which her father opened in 1910, and continued in operation until 
1964. 
    
Mary Ann put her faith, family, and friends before herself throughout her 76 
years. She was a gentle, compassionate, caring person who was loved by all, and 
considered everyone her friend. 
    
She was a life member of St. Joseph Church, where she married Albert G. 
DiSalvatore in 1965. For many years, she sang in the Messiah Chorus, worked 
bingo for St. Joseph School, was a Girl Scout Leader, and was a member of the 
Cedars of Lebanon Club, which her mother founded. She was also active on her 
class reunion committee, worked for GNC for over 15 years, and for 12 years 
worked for her son at Dr. Tom DiSalvatore's chiropractic office. Her family was 
her life, and her home was open to all and was considered the best "Bed and 
Breakfast/Hotel" this side of Cleveland. 
    
An avid Fighting Irish fan, she enjoyed football and rooting for the Cleveland 
Browns, Bernie Kosar being her favorite all-time player, and spending time with 
her family. 
    
Survivors include her husband of 40 years; her son, Tom (Sandi); a daughter, 
Marybeth (Alan) Brailer of Lorain; grandchildren, Jessie, Maddie, David, Grace, 
Andy, and Katelyn; her sister, JoAnn (Bob) Styles of Ashtabula; nieces, Juli 
Anne Oatman, Mary-Helen Petro, Jennifer Brown, and Luci Payne and their 
families; and several nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, aunts, uncles, and 
friends from Niagara Falls to California and every state in between. 
    
She was preceded in death by her parents. 
    
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2006, in St. Joseph 
Church, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. 
    
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, April 7, 2006, at the 
GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 West 19th Street, Ashtabula.

GERALD G. LUDWIG 
HILLSBORO, Tenn. -- Gerald Gene Ludwig, age 78, of Hillsboro, Tennessee, died 
peacefully Monday, April 3, 2006, in his home. 
    
Born October 17, 1927, in Ceres, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Gerald 
Ludwig and Irene Lloyd, and was a Veteran, serving in Guam. Prior to his 
military service, he was a Merchant Marine. 
    
Mr. Ludwig worked on the Nickel Plate Railroad, and retired from Emco Wheaton in 
Conneaut, Ohio. 
    
After retirement, he enjoyed traveling and restoring antiques. 
    
Survivors include his brother, Sheldon of Ashtabula; daughters, Sandy Calaway of 
Warsaw, Indiana, and Carol Grindstaff of Monrovia, Indiana; son, Dennis Ludwig 
of Willoughby, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. 
    
He was preceded in death by his parents; and Julia Ludwig. 
    
At Mr. Ludwig's request, no funeral service will be observed. 
 
ANIYAH N. SMITH 
ASHTABULA -- Aniyah Nicole Smith, age 4 months, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died 
Wednesday, March 15, 2006, in Chicago, Illinois. 
    
Born November 2, 2005, in Ashtabula, she was a daughter of Amanda and Andre 
Smith Sr. 
    
Survivors include her parents of Ashtabula; sister, Kalaya Smith of Ashtabula; 
maternal grandmother, Lissa Rousc of Illinois; paternal grandparents, Bennie and 
Joyce Smith of Illinois; and godmother, Nicole Watson of Geneva. 
    
She was preceded in death by her brother, Andre Smith Jr. 
    
A Graveside Service will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 10, 2006, at Mt. Pleasant 
Cemetery, Geneva, Ohio.
