Shirley P. Dick - Chapman -
RICHMOND TWP. - Shirley P. Dick-Chapman, age 85 of Richmond Township, Ohio, died Monday, March 3, 2006 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio
     Born December 5, 1920 in Greenville, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of Ralph Grover an Wilda Ellen (Anderson) Reigleman.
     A long-time Richmond Township resident, Mrs. Chapman was employed by Pymatuning State Park doing cleaning for many years, and she was formerly employed by Shellito potato farm.

JEFFERSON -- Jeannetta Jo Van Winkle, 50, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006.
     Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.
     Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

ORLET G. KEENERSAN
ANTONIO, Texas -- Orlet "Gene" Keener, 77, died Monday, March 20, 2006.
     At his request, he will be cremated and his ashes scattered on golf courses in San Antonio and Ohio. ; ;
     A memorial service for family and friends will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Orwell North Church, with Minister Sandy Seaton Todd presiding.
     Memorial contributions may be made to the Orwell North Church Memorial Fund.

HENRY E. JOHNS
ASHTABULA -- Henry E. Johns, age 86, of Jefferson Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, in the Hospice Unit of Ashtabula County Medical Center.
     He was born May 27, 1919, in Mess-more, Pennsylvania, the son of Henry E. and Hannah (Anthony) Johns. A Veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater of Operations, where he received the Purple Heart.
     Mr. Johns worked for Horvatz Construction Company as a heavy-equipment operator until his retirement in 1981.
     He was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Ashtabula and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
     Surviving him are his wife, Virginia Camp Johns of Jefferson; two sons, Roger Dale (Yvonne) Johns of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Jerry (Jona) Johns of Huntsville, Alabama; two daughters, Joyce (Ray) Mosser of Jefferson, Ohio, and Sharon (Karl) Hines-Schoenbeck of Madison, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Tammy, Chief, Bryanna, Nathan, Jeremiah, Jenifer, Whitney, Katy and Emily; five great-grandchildren, Harleigh, Riley, Skylar, Olivia and Domonic; and a brother, Don Johns of Valparaiso, Indiana.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Eleanor Johns, on May 18, 1985; and three brothers, Dan, George and Carl Robert Johns.
     Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2006, at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FU-NE-RAL DIRECTORS, INC., 526 West Prospect Road, Ashta-bu-la, with Pastor Mi-chael Eastridge, of the Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville with Geneva VFW Post #6846 conducting Military Rites.
     Calling Hours will be Sunday, April 2, 2006, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
     Memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice Unit at Ashtabula County Me-dical Center. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.

E. PATRICIA ENSMAN
ASHTABULA -- E. Patricia Ensman, age 75, a lifelong resident of Austinburg/ Ashtabula, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at University Hospitals of Cleve-land.
     Born July 27, 1930, in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Emmaline (Kuhn) and James Atzemis.
     A 1948 graduate of Ashtabula High School, she worked for 25 years at Grand River Academy as a Foodservice Manager.
     Mrs. Ensman was a member of St. Joseph Calasanctius Catholic Church.
     She enjoyed gardening, attending flea markets, reading, and spending time with her family.
     Survivors include her husband of 56 years, James M. Ensman of Austinburg; two daughters, Judy (Chuck) Clark of Geneva, and Janis Ellam of Western Australia; a son, Todd (Amanda) Ensman of Austinburg; five grandchildren, Megan, Laura, Lindsey, Sarah, and Michael; one great-grandchild, Aliya; and four brothers, James Atzemis, Theodore Atzemis, Danial Atzemis, and Paul Atzemis, all of Ashtabula.
     She was preceded in death by her parents.
    A Memorial Service will be held 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2006, at St. Joseph Calasanctius Catholic Church, 32 East Jefferson Street, Jefferson, Ohio 44047, with Reverend Stephen Wassie officiating.
    Family and friends are invited to join together after the service at the Austinburg Town Hall, 2794 State Route 307, Austinburg, Ohio.

BRITTA DISPENZA
MADISON -- Britta Dispenza, age 86, a resident of Madison, Ohio, since 2002, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at Altercare of Mentor.
     Born January 7, 1920, in Kalmar, Sweden, she was a daughter of the late Syster (Sven-son) and Henning Hendrickson. Mrs. Dispenza was a 30-year resident of Florida, moving from Ashtabula. On August 31, 1956, she married the late Joseph T. Dispenza in Euclid.
     Retired in 1985 from Bank of America, she was involved with BPW Professional Women's organization in Florida. She loved golfing and loved to be with people.
     Survivors include a daughter, Pat (David) Corbissero of Painesville, Ohio; a son, Paul B. (Judith) Long Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren, Dean and Darren Corbissero, and Jeff, Jim, and John Long; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth (John) Karbacka of Ashtabula, and Lillian (George) Orgelman of Viera, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph T. Dispenza; two brothers, Eric and Kurt Hendrickson; and two sisters, Catherine Lundstrom and Mildred Wisuri.
     Graveside Service will be 10 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2006, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio, with Reverend Stephen Broache, of Central Congregational Church in Madison, officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2006, at The Behm Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio.

CLARA M. HAKALA
ASHTABULA -- Clara M. Hakala, age 94, of Ashtabula, Ohio, and formerly of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Conneaut, Ohio, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at the Austinburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
     Born May 4, 1911, in Conneaut, she was the daughter of the late Carl R. and Alice (Cornell) Blood. A graduate of Conneaut High School, she attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
     She had been employed at Carlisle's Department Store and Farmer Bank in Ashtabula.
     Mrs. Hakala was a member of the Second Congregational Church, the Covered Bridge Chapter #591, Order of Eastern Star, for over 70 years, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Grottoets of Ashtabula.
     Surviving her are three daughters, Sarah (Bob) Halman of Ashtabula, Susan (Bob) Bernard of Hackettstown, New Jersey, and Jean (Paul) Tremblay of Avon, Ohio; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul E. Hakala, in 1989; and a grandson, Bob Halman Jr., in 2004.
     Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006, at the Second Congregational Church, 319 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004, with Reverend Glen Warner officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
     Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Friday, March 31, 2006, at the Ashtabula Home of the FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 526 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with an Eastern Star service at 6:45 p.m.

ARTHUR M. BAKER
COTTONWOOD, AZ -- Arthur M. Baker, age 86, formerly of Geneva, Ohio, passed away March 6, 2006, in Cottonwood, Arizona.
     He was born to Edith and Virgil Baker on October 16, 1919, and was a graduate of Ashtabula High School, Class of 1939.
     In 1941, he met and married Viola Showers in Akron, Ohio. A Veteran of the U.S. Army-Air Corps, he served from 1941-1945 in the South Pacific.
     He retired from the Arizona Department of Transportation in Page, Arizona.
     Arthur loved music, sports, and his family.
     He is survived by his wife; daughter, Cathy Baker of Cottonwood; son, Bruce of Colorado; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Donald of Nevada; and two sisters, Laura Benjamin of Tennessee, and Carol Conrad of Geneva, Ohio.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Neubert and Edith Mullins; and two brothers, Robert and Virgil Jr.
     A Memorial will be held Saturday, April 1, 2006, in Cottonwood.

JUDITH O. STRUCHEN
CONNEAUT -- Judith O. Struchen, age 71, formerly of Monroe Township, Ohio, died Sunday, March 19, 2006, in Boca Raton, Florida.
    She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, April 20, 1934, the daughter of the late Fern and Dorothy (nee Weidler) Whitford.
   Judith was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church and the Monroe Sirens.
    She also enjoyed crafting.
    Judith is survived by her husband, Clyde; sons, Michael and wife, Robin Struchen, of Monroe Township, Brian Struchen of Hartville, Ohio, and Randy and wife, Mary Struchen, of Gowanda, New York; daughter, Kelly Heyer of West Springfield, Pennsylvania; and seven grandchildren.
     She is preceded in death by her parents.
    A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2006, at Monroe United Methodist Church with Reverend Richard Smith officiating. A meal and fellowship will follow the service at the church.
     Memorials in Judith's name may be made to the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department or a local Girl Scout Troop.
