MARRIED - On the 26th inst., by J. F. Randolph, Esq., Mr. William Coles of Guernsey county and Miss Lydia Wise,of Washington township, Monroe county.

Thomas Witten... mentions... came from Crawford Co., Ohio and settled on Isaac Taylor's farm west of town.  Had visited brothers Harrison Witten and Wm. Witten about 4 years earlier in 1863.  Married Sarah E. Hardesty in Guernsey Co., Ohio before he came to Wood Co.  Had a daughter Maggie Witten.  Gives interesting account of life in swamp  (Nov. 8, 1901)
Also mentioned were Frank Clayton, John Howe, Furguson Hughes, Peters.

Rev. Kenneth Hay Will Officiate Sunday at Church.
Miss Jean Ellen Jackson
, 5104 Junius, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Jackson, Columbus Ohio, will be married to Dr. Harold J. Scott, so of Mrs. Harold Scott, Cambridge, Ohio, at 4 p.m. Sunday in the parlors of the Central Christian Church.
     The Rev. Kenneth Hay will officiate, Miss Mary Elizabeth Mosley will play, and Ethalmore Adams Bonham, will sing.  The ceremony will take place before a background of greenery and white tapers in cedar logs.
     A dusty pink sheer wool frock will be worn by Miss Jackson.  Her black hat will have a deep rose trimming and will match her other accessories.  Her flowers  will be gardenias.
     Miss Betty Sue Garner, made of honor, will wear a blue wool sheer dress with black accessories.  Dr. Tom Marinus will be best man.
     A reception will be held at the home of Miss Ilene Timmerman, 4313 Avondale.
     Miss Jackson was graduated from the Ohio State University and is field secretary of the Camp Fire Girls...  Her fiancé, also a graduate of Ohio University, is interning at Baylor Hospital.
