Mrs. Emma Bailey
Columbus Grove, May 4, Mrs. Emma Bailey, 62, a lifetime resident of Rockport, died of complications at 5:30 p. m. Thursday at her home after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Bailey a widow, is survived by one son John of Rockport; Two daughters, Mrs. C.A. Snyder and Mrs. J. M. Slusser, of Lima; one brother A. F. Fullerton of Rockport, 13 children and three great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Rockport M. E. Church where services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Sunday with the Rev. A. L. Leeson, former pastor, officiating Burial will be in Rockport Cemetery. The body will remain at the Harris Funeral Home until time for the services.

Mrs. Nancy Virginia Bailey
Mrs. Nancy Virginia ( Auntie) Bailey 90, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home 1100 N. McCullough st. She had been ill for two weeks. Her husband, William Bailey ,preceded her in death 24 years ago. She is survived by one sister Mrs. E. A. Miller , Ada; nephew Lewis O. Bailey, Lima Route 5, who was raised in her home; and other nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m Friday in Sugar Creek Church of the Brethren, of which she was a member. Rev. A. G. Freed will officiate and burial will be in Blue Lick Cemetery. The body will remain at Chiles and Sons funeral home until the services.

James Bailey DIES AT HOME OF SON IN CAIRO
Cairo, Sept 3,-Special- James Harvey Bailey, 70, died at 2:00 a. m. Saturday from complications at the home of his son, Calvin, southeast of Cairo. He is survived by three sons, Frank of Zanesfield, Lewis of Lima, and Calvin. Funeral Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m. Monday at Rockport Church with burial at Rockport Cemetery.

William Bailey DIES AT HIS HOME AFTER ILLNESS.
William H. Bailey 73, retired farmer, died Saturday night at his home at the corner of Edward and McCullough-Sts. , after a prolonged illness from a complication of different diseases, Bailey was born September 30, 1850 in Augusta-co, Virginia and in addition to his wife he is survived by two brothers James and George Bailey of Rockport, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p. m. at the United Brethern Church at Blue Lick. Interment in Blue Lick Cemetery.

  Samuel Burkholder

Samuel Burkholder was born in Wayne Co., Ohio, April 24, 1838, and peacefully passed away at the home of his son, Elias Burkholder, near Bluffton, Ohio, Dec. 21, 1920; aged 82 y. 7 m. 21 d. He united with the Mennonite Church in early life, of which he was a faithful member until his death. He was united in marriage to Lydia Steiner, Aug. 7, 1862, and lived happily with his companion until her death on Jan. 2, 1881. To this union were born six sons and one daughter. He was married a second time to Mrs. Mary Goldsmith on Feb. 9, 1897. She was a devoted companion until her death, three and one-half months ago. The deceased is also survived by two brothers and one sister. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday afternoon, December 26, at the Zion Mennonite Church near Bluffton, Ohio, by Paul E. Whitmer and N. O. Blosser Burial in Zion Cemetery

Ann Marian Branson
Mrs. Ann Marian Branson, 79 years of age, mother of William G. Branson of 518 west Spring street, who is connected with the Jones Hardware company, south Miami street, passed from life this morning at 1 o'clock, after an illness of 3 months, during which she suffered from stomach trouble. Death was due to atrophy of the stomach.
Mrs. Branson was born in Miami county, Ohio. When quite young, she and her husband went to Meadville, Mo., to reside. She had always lived in that city until the death of her husband, when she spent the time alternating her residence with her sons, the other of whom resides in Trinidad, Colo. She came to Lima to spend the winter, expecting to be near friends of her birth-place. She was stricken shortly after her arrival here. Funeral services will be conducted at the home of her son, on west Spring street, Wednesday at 1 o'clock. Dr. Thomas Knox, pastor of Market Street Presbyterian church, will officiate. Members of the Brotherhood of the church will serve as bearers, The body will be accompanied at 3 o'clock to Meadville, Mo., by way of the Pennsylvania railroad, where interment will be made.

Isaac M. Bryan
Isaac M. Bryan died at his home in Hardin County yesterday, after a long illness of a complication of diseases. He was born in Hardin County, in 1832 the son of William C. and Elizabeth (Gaskill) Bryan, and has lived his whole life in Hardin County. He was a veteran of the Civil War, Co. B. 82'd Regiment, O. V. I. He was unmarried and leaves one brother William J. Bryan of Farmer, Defiance Co., Ohio and one sister, Mrs. Eliza Adams of Lima. The funeral services will be held at the Ash Grove church cemetery this afternoon at two o'clock and the interment will be made there.

Keziah Bryan

Word has been received Monday by Mrs. S. F. Liddie, 700 W. Elm-st, of the death of a sister, Mrs. Keziah Bryan in Dunkirk, N. Y. Mrs. Bryan was born and spent most of her life in Ada. She lived in Lima for about seven years, but moved to Dunkirk several years ago. Besides her husband C.D. Bryan and Mrs. Liddie, she is survived by three other sisters, Mrs. Ida Boyd, of Dunkirk; Mrs. Wmina Tarr of Alhambra, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Stand of Smeltersville, Idaho; and three brothers, W. E. Gastinger of Sharon, Pa; J. O. Gastinger of Griffithville, Ark; and F. C. Gastinger of Ashtabula, O. Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Preston funeral home at Ada. Burial will be in Lafayette cemetery.

J. K. Breslin
J. K. Breslin, 654 Harrison-av, retired clothier, died at 5 a. m. Sunday in St. Rita's hospital after an extended illness. Breslin, a member of St. John's Catholic church, retired seven years ago after conducting a clothing store for 55 years. He is survived by his wife, Clara, two sons. Henry of Detroit, and Richard, at home, and one sister. Mrs. Anna Paul, of Urbana . Funeral services will be held at 0 a. m. Wednesday at the St. John's Catholic church with Rev. A. Fate, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Gethsemani cemetery. The body was removed Sunday evening from the Siferd and Son funeral home to the residence to remain until time of services.

Franklin L. Bowers

Franklin L. Bowers, 53, died Saturday afternoon at the Allen-co infirmary. Funeral services will  be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lewis funeral home. Burial will be in Rockport cemetery. A brother Wilson A. Bowers, 722 Fairview-av survives.

 Charles Daniel Bradford

 

Charles Daniel Bradford, 72, retired foundry worker, died at 4 p.m. Sunday in his home, 915 Franklin-st. A native of Degraff, Mr. Bradford had lived in Lima for the last 32 year s. He retired in 1944 after 20 years in the foundry department of the old Lima Locomotive Works now Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton Corp. Surviving are his widow, Matilda; three sons, Clarence W., 660 S. Dewey -av; Bernard and Ray, both of Route 1; three daughters, Mrs. Walter Basinger, 783 S. Metcalf st; Mrs. Clark Post, Route 2, Spencerville, and Marianne, at home; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and three brothers, W.H. Bradford, 950 Greenlawn av., David, 595 W. Kildare-av and Seborn of Troy. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Siferd and Son funeral home, t he R ev. E. J. Penhorwood  officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. The body will remain in the funeral until after services.

Mrs. Matilda Wieter Bradford

Mrs. Matilda Bradford, 74, of 915 E. Franklin St. , died at 1:15 p.m. yesterday in Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She had been a patient in the hospital since Jan. 16. She was born in St. Marys and had lived in Lima the last 34 years. Her husband Charles D. Bradford died in Nov. 1951. Surviving are three sons, Clarence W.. 660 Dewey Ave; Bernard, Route 1; Ray, Route 1; three daughters, Mrs. Walter Basinger, 783 S. Metca lf St., Mrs.. Charles Post, Route 1, Spencerville, Marianne, at home; 14 grandchildren; 16 g-grandchildren; three brothers, William, Charles and Noah Wieter, all of St. Marys. The body will remain in the Siferd & Son Funeral Home where services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery .

William H. Bradford

William H. Bradford, 74, 950 Greenlawn Ave. , died Sunday at 11: 50 p. m. at his residence following a four years' illness. He was born Jan. 16, 1884, in Wapakoneta and had been a resident of Li ma f or 38 years. He was employed at Superior Motor Coach Corp., as a store room clerk. Survivors include his wife Anna M.; two sons, Fred, 900 Buckeye Road, and Harold, Ft. Wayne, Ind., one daughter, Mrs. Fred Hitchen, 774 Weadock Ave.; two brothers, Seborn, Troy, and Burlin 595 Kildare Ave.; and two grandchildren. Mr. Bradford was a member of the Junior Order of American Mechanics, Daughters of America, and the Protective Home Circle . Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Lewis Memorial Chapel with Rev. Richard Vitz officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery .

Walter Earl Basinger

Walter Earl Basinger, 61, of 783 S. Metcalf, died 10:45 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 28, 1908 in Lima , he was the son of Frank and Lenie (Eastman) Basinger. He was married to Nellie Bradford who survives. Also surviving are his mother at 928 Burch; a son, Ed of Reynoldsburg, a daughter, Mrs. John (Carole) Bishop of Midland, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Jacob Keller of 928 Burch; and four grandchildren. A lab operator at Westinghouse Corp., he was a member of the Masonic Lo dg e, Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge and the Board of Realtors. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Siferd Westwood Chapel, Rev. F rank Hamblen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight. Masonic Services will be conducted 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Nellie H. Bradford Basinger

Nellie Basinger,93, formerly of Lima, died Jun 2, 2001 at Monrey Care Center, Grove City.She was born Feb 19,1908 in Wapakoneta to Charles Daniel and Matilda Weider Bradford. On Apr 21, 1927 she married Walter E. Basinger, who died Feb 14, 1969. Mrs. Basinger had been a real estate agent associated with Mary Claybaugh and Edith Shepherd Realty of Lima.She was formerly a member of the Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, where she had been recognized for her many years of service. She was a former member of the Elks Lodge 54.Surviviors include a son, a daughter a sister 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, C.W."Clarence", Bernard and Ray Bradford; a sister Mabel Post.Services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Siferd Westwood Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
