Lucinda Jane Turner

Lucinda Jane Turner, 80, lifelong Allen-co resident, died at 7:30 a. m. Saturday at her home in the Roma-apts 125 S.. Pierce-st, after an illness of one week. She is survived by her husband, George; one son, Lyman, of Ada ; four daughters, Mrs. J. A. Yinger, of Pleasantville, N. J., Mrs. George Geran, of Marion ; Mrs. M. W. Campbell , Roma-apls. and Mrs. Eva Hudson, of Marion ; and seven grandchildren. The body will remain at the Davis-Miller and Son funeral home where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Rev. Clarence L. Grauser,  pastor of the Trinity Methodist church, will officiate and burial will be in Auglaize cemetery.

Anna Rose Kindred Trakas

Anna Rose "Dimp" Kindred Trakas, 92, died at 9:05 p.m. Mar. 23, 2008 at Springview Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 16, 1915 in Iliopolis, Illinois, to Michael J. and Margaret (McGee) Collins, who preceded her in death. In 1937, she married William Kindred, who died in 1959. In 1973, she married Charles Trakas, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Trakas had been a waitress at Northland Lanes. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed baking for her family and friends and working in her flower garden. Survivors include three daughters; two sisters; and nine grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Joseph and Paul Collins, and a sister, Mary Centers. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gerard Church, Father George Blasick will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
