Page 315 Rev. Peter D. Horton - On the 31st day of October AD 1828 the Rev. Peter D. Horton presented at the office of the Clerk of Court of Com. Pleas of Ashtabula in the State of Ohio a Licence duly certified by S. Day Clerk of the Court of Com. Pleas of Portage County in said state, bearing date the 6th day of March, AD 1827 authorizing the said Peter D. Horton  to Solemnize Marriages with this state agreeably to the provisions of the Act. entitled "An Act regulating Marriages . Jefferson Oct. 31, 1828 -    Attest Saml. Hendry, Clerk.

Rev. John Summerville - On the 29th day of Nov. 1828 the Rev. John Summerville presented at the Office of the Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas, (Ashtabula County) a Licence duly executed by Jesse Millikan, Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of the County of Fayette (Ohio) authorizing him as a Minister of the Gospel of the Methodist Episcopal Church, to Solemnize Marriages within this state agreeably to the provisions of the act, entitled "An Act regulating Marriages bearing date October 22d AD 1822 -    Attest Saml. Hendry, Clerk.

Rev. Luther Humphrey - On the 27th day of May 1829 the Rev. Luther Humphrey presented at the Office of the Cerk of the Court of Com. Pleas Ashtabula County (Ohio) a licence duly executed by Edward Paine, Junr. Clerk of Court of Com. Pleas Geauga Cty, Ohio, authorizing him as a Minister of the Gospel to Solemnize Marriages within this state (regularly to the provisions of an Act entitled "An Act Regulating Marriages" bearing date April 11th 1826 - Attest Saml. Hendry, Clerk.

Ashtabula County ss. }  Be it Remembered that on the twenty second day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty too,  Revd. Alfred Bronson exhibited a Licence by him obtained from the Court of Common Pleas within and for the County of Trumbull allowing him teh said Alfred Bronson to Solemnize Marriages agreeable to the Statute Laws of the State of Ohio which Licence was dated December 15th AD 1820 and attested by George Parsons, Clerk of Common Pleas in said Trumbull county.   Attest T. Ashtabula County ss}  Be it remembered that on the twenty eighth day of October AD one thousand eight hundred and twenty two Revd. Jonathan Leslie produced a licence by him obtained from the Court of Common Pleas within and for the County of Geauga allowing him the said Jonathan Leslie to Solemnize Marriages agreeable to the Statute Laws of the State of Ohio which Licence was dated November 19th AD 1810 and attested by Edward Paine, Junr. Ashtabula County ss.}  Be it Remembered that on the eighteenth day of November AD One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twentytwo Revd. Edward H. Taylor exhibited a Licence by him obtained from teh court of common pleas within and for the county of Gallia allowing him the said Edward H. Taylor to solemnize marriages agreeable to the statute laws of the State of Ohio  Dated Gallipolis the twenty second day of November AD 1821 and Attested by Francis Leblaeg, Clerk at Common Pleas for said county of Gallia - Attest T. R. Hawley, Clerk C. P.

Ashtabula County ss}  Be it Remembered on the twenty third day of June AD one thousand eight hundred twenty three Revd Ira Edy exhibited a licence by him obtained from the court of common pleas within and for the County of Geauga allowing him the said Ira Edy to solemnize marriages agreeable to the State Laws of the State of Ohio Chardon the 11th day of November 1819 and Attested by Eleazer Paine Deputy Clerk of Common Pleas for Geauga County.  - Attest T. Joshua Woodworth exhibited a Licence by him obtained from the court of Geauga allowing him the said Joshua Woodworth to solemnize marriages agreeable to the Statue Laws of the State of Ohio - Dated Chardon 18th day of November AD 1811

Ashtabula County }  Be it Remembered that the Revd. Charles Elliott, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church present his credentials having had Licence from George Parsons, Esq Clk of Com. Pleas in Trumbull County - which was dated June 10th Day of June AD 1893 for him -
Entered Decr 26, 1822 - Attest T. R. Hawley, Clerk, C.P.

Court of Common Pleas December Term 1822 The Reverand Charles Thorn having this day produced to the Court satisfactory credentials of his being a regular  Ordered Minister of Methodist Episcopal Church. It is thereupon Ordered that he be permitted to Solemnize Marriages within this State agreeably to Statute in such case made and provided - A copy from the minutes - In Testimony whereof I, Amos H. Coffer, Clerk of said Court have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of my said County at Newark, this 20th day of Decr. 1822.  A. C. Caffer, Clkl. A true Copy

Page 319 Thomas Carr produced a Licence from the Court of Common Pleas in Licking County authorizing him as a Minister of the Gospel to Solemnize Marriages dated October Term 1818 - Presented and Registered this 17th day of January 1825 - T. R. Hawley, Clerk

David Sharp produced a Licence from the Court of Common Pleas in Miami County authorizing him as a Minister of the Gospel to Solemnize Marriages dated May 6th AD 1817.  Presented and Registered this 24th Day of January AD 1825 - T. R. Hawley, Clerk.

Rev. Philip Greene this day produced a Licence from the Court of Common Pleas of Monroe County authorizing him as a Minister of the Gospel to solemnize marriages dated Jul. 21, 1823 - presented and record made the 24th day of March 1826 - Saml. Hendry, Clerk.

Rev. Russell Downing this day produced a license from the Court of Common Pleas Cuyahaga County authorizing him as a Minister of the Gospel to Solemnize Marriages - Dates April AD 1823 fifth AD 1824 - presented and recorded this 19th day AD 1826.              Saml. Hendry, Clerk

Rev. Elias Morse was Licenced to Solemnize Marriages on the 23d March 1821 - by the Court of Common Pleas of Ashtabula County}
