Added several newspaper clippings about the Tornado in 1917. 
Funny thing is my grandfather was born there in that place and then he met my grandmother.  At the time that tornado was going on, my grandmothers baby bump was my mother.  It is a good thing they didn't decide to live in Mattoon or they just may have been in that tornado's way.  There is no census record of my grandmother and grandfather together as they were married in 1916 and he died in 1918 while in Kansas City, Missouri at his new job.  Mom and her mother hadn't lived there very long before he passed during the influenza outbreak.

Also I had a great day today with my hubby celebrating my Birthday.  Even went riding on my brand new birthday bicycle that my son bought me.  It was very hard but I will get used to it. :-)
