Monroe Twp. -
ABRAM EARLY is a son of Jacob and Mary Early.  His wife, Sarah, is a daughter of John and Elizabeth Miller.  Both families came from Rockingham County, Virginia, in 1839.  But Mr. and Mrs. E. were both born in this county - he on the 25th of December, 1840; and she Aug. 16, 1849.  They have four children - Mary E., Emily A., Ella and Calvin S.  The children of Jacob and Mary Early are Noah, Isaac, Abram, Jonas, Elizabeth, John, Samuel, Sarah and JacobJohn and Elizabeth Miller have six children - Samuel, John, Jacob, Sarah, Elizabeth and Barbara.

  Sugar Creek Twp. -
JOHN D. EDWARDS was born in this township, Oct. 16, 1841.  His parents, Thomas and Anna Edwards, came to this county in 1839, from Cincinnati.  They were originally from North Wales.  Mrs. Edwards is a daughter of Jenkin and Mary Jones who came from South Wales in 1839, and whose children are William, Jonathan, Mary Ann, Evans, and Elizabeth.

  Sugar Creek Twp. -
JOHN EVANS and his wife are natives of Caermarthenshire, South Wales.  He was born June 10th, 1810 - she in Oct., 1805.  They have six children living.  (See J. P. Williams)  Mr. E. is a son of Timothy and Ann Evans, and brother of Benjamin, David, Daniel, Elizabeth, Mary and Evan Evans.  Mrs. Evans was Mary Byron (or Bynon), daughter of Evan and Sarah Byron (or Bynon), and sister of Esther, An, Margaret and Elizabeth.  When Mr. Evans and his family first came to this county (1843), they lived in a temporary log hut, sleeping on the floor, and subsisting principally on cornbread baked on a board before a log fire.  Wild deer were so plentiful that they often came into enclosures and fed with the domestic animals.  The howling of wolves could be heard every night.  Went to St. Marys or Sidney to mill, and to Toledo for salt.  There was very little money in circulation, and no markets.  Butter was worth four cents a pound, wheat forty cents a bushel, corn twelve cents, cows $8 a head, horses $40, and wages twenty-five cents a day and in harvest time fifty cents or one bushel of wheat.

  Sugar Creek Twp. -
WILLIAM R. EVANS and his wife are natives of South Wales, G. B.  Their children are Ellen, John (deceased), Alice, Silas, Charlotte (deceased), Isabella, Amos, and HarrietMr. Evans is a son of Thomas and Ellen Evans, still residing in South Wales, and whose children are John, Mary (Mrs. L. Lewis), William R., Winifred, David, the Rev. Evan Evans (deceased), Ellen (Mrs. Oliver), and Margaret (deceased).  Mrs. Evans was Mary Jones daughter of John and Anna Jones, who died in South Wales.  She has a brother, John Jones.

Jackson Twp. -
LEMUEL EVERSOLE was born in Perry County, Oct. 30th, 1829, and came to this country in 1852.  He married Sarah Nash, who was born in Allen County, July 11th, 1837.  They have nine children - George W., Eliza J., Frank J., John E., Charles A., Elva E., Daniel B., Nettie B. and Lemuel N.  Mr. E. is a son of Peter and Rebecca Eversole, and brother of Eliza, Catherine, Francis, Daniel and Rebecca.  Mrs. Eversole's parents, Thomas and Rebecca Nash, came from Morgan County.  Their children are Mary, Lucretia and Sarah.

  Spencer Twp. -
THEODORE EYESENBACH was born in Germany, in the year 1848, and while yet an infant was brought to Allen County by his parents, Wendelin and Margaretta Eyensenbach.  He ahs three brothers - William, Henry and Louis; and two sisters - Mary and Lina.

  Ottawa Twp. -
BENJAMIN C. FAUROT, was born in the State of New York on the 13th of October, 1829, and came to Lima in July, 1853.  His wife is Helen A., daughter of Luke and Samantha WellsMr. Faurot's parents are David and Eleanor Faurot.  They came to the county in 1861.  His brothers and sisters are Catharine, Harriet, Frederick, Gideon, Martha, Jane, Matilda, Margaret, George and Arthur.  Mrs. F. has eight brothers and sisters.

  Ottawa Twp. -
FREDERICK FAUROT was born at Utica, N. Y., Sept. 13, 1831, and came to this county about twenty yeas ago.  His parents, David and Eleanor, came to the county in 1861.  He married Emma J., daughter of Jacob and Susannah Wyant.  She was born in Champaign County, Apr. 16, 1842.  their children are Benjamin C., Minnie Belle and Harry.  He is a brother of Catherine, Harriet, Benjamin C., Gideon L., Martha J., Matilda A., George S., Arthur K. and Margaret E.

  Ottawa Twp. -
GEORGE S. FAUROT
was born in Crawford County, O., Dec. 19, 1839.  His parents, David and Eleanor Faurot, came to Allen County, from the State of New York, in 1863.  Their children are Catharine, Harriet, Benjamin C., Frederick, Gideon L., Martha J., Matilda A., George S., Arthur K., and Margaret E.  Mrs. Faurot is Annie, daughter of Charles and Hannah Barrow.  She was born at Hull, England, Oct. 4, 1842.  Children of Charles and Hannah Barrow: John S., James G., Charles H., Thomas E., Annie and William E.  Children of George S. and Annie Faurot: Hattie F. (deceased), Caddie B., and Frank S.

  Richland Twp. -
MARTHA JANE FECHLER was born in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, Feb. 16, 1826.  Her parents are Joseph Garee, born Jan. 13, 1800,m and Elizabeth, born Dec. 19, 1803.  By her first marriage Mrs. F. has two children, Solomon and Joseph Arnold.  Her second husband was Mr. Feckler, a son of Samuel and Susan Feckler.  He was born in York County, Pennsylvania, Nov. 7, 1807.  Their children are Philip, Samuel, Cass, Margaret, Isaac, Elmer and Ellsworth (twins), Barbara E. and Henderson Feckler.  Names of Mrs. Feckler's brothers and sisters - Sarah, Elizabeth, Rosanna, Margaret, Henry, William, John and Rachel Garee.  Samuel and Susan Feckler's children are Samuel, Sarah, Lydia, George, Peter, Eve, Simon and Margaret.

J. S. FOGLE was born in Morrow county in 1827, and came to this county in 1850.  His parents, John and Deborah Fogle, came in 1858.  His wife was Mary Harvey, born in the State of New York.  They have two children, Flora and Byron.

  Richland Twp. -
JOHN FRANKS was born in Hancock County in 1834.  His parents, Michael and Priscilla Franks had five children - John, David, Elisha, Benjamin, Mary R., and Elizabeth.  His wife, a daughter of Thomas and Nancy Evans, was born in Trumbull County.  They have three children.  Mr. Franks has held the office of constable.

  Sugar Creek Twp. -
ELLIS FRANCIS, son of Francis and Catharine, and brother of Hugh F., Margaret, John and Mary, was born in North Wales, Nov. 13, 1806.  His wife is a daughter of Owen and Ursilla Jones, whose children are Richard, Evans, Ann, Griffith and William.  Mrs. F. was born in North Wales, in August, 1817.
