  GEORGE DAUGHERTY, foreman of the Warren Gas Light Works, was born in Warren Dec. 6, 1860, receiving his education in the Warren schools.  He has been in the employ of the Gas Light Co. one year and the Erie R. R. Co. eight years.  Oct. 14, 1880, Mr. Daugherty was married to Mary A. Crow, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Crow.  She was born Dec. 11, 1861.  Six children bless this union; Edwin C., Frank H., Mable A., Charles Albert, Henry Leroy, and Hazel GertrudeMr. D is a republican and active in working for the interests of that party, though he is neither an officeholders nor seeker.  Mr. and Mrs. Daugherty have a good home on West Summit street and enjoy the society of a wide circle of friends.

  JAMES DAUGHERTY has been a resident of Warren since coming here with his parents about 1853.  He was born in Dunkirk, N. Y., July 22, 1852.  His parents were Patrick and Jane King Daugherty, both natives of Ireland, but emigrated to Canada where they were married and then settled at Dunkirk, N. Y., coming from there to Girard and finally settling at Warren about 1853.  In 1874, Jan. 15, our subject was united in the bonds of matrimony to Lizzie, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Broadey Crowe, the father born Feb. 2, 1820, at Peel. Isle of Man, and died at Youngstown, Ohio, July 29, 1863, and the mother, born June 3, 1823, at Chester, England, and died at Warren Aug. 22, 1891.  Mrs. Daugherty was born in Cleveland Oct. 11, 1853, and died in Warren May 20, 1891.  Mr. D. was married a second time to Jane Crowe, sister of his first wife.  She was born in Cleveland, Mar. 11, 1851, and married to our subject Dec. 6, 1885.  Mr. Daugherty is the father of seven children, as follows:  Harry B., born Apr. 8, 1875, Vernie C., born Aug. 12, 1877, Myrtle C., born June 26, 1880, Minnie M., born Sept. 22, 1882, Arthur J., born Apr. 27, 1885, and died Sept. 14, 1885, Martin A., born Mar. 9, 1890, and died June 24, 1894, and James E., born Apr. 6, 1892.  Our subject has always been one of the most highly respected citizens of Warren and has a host of good friends.  In politics he is a supporter of republicanism.

  MARTIN A. DAUGHERTY, Warren, Ohio, partner and manager of the firm of Masters Brothers & Company, of Leavittsburg, Ohio.  This firm conducts a general commission business and is a prosperous and reliable company.  For a number of years this firm has done a large business as jobbers in poultry and country produce and the fact that their trade has steadily increased is convincing their trade has steadily increased is convincing proof that their customers have received fair and courteous treatment.  Much of the present success of the business is due to the able management of Mr. Daugherty.
