DAVIESS; real estate broker;
born, Louisville, Ky., Mar. 1, 1870; son of
Wallace Buchanan and Kate Applegate Daviess;
educated, Louisville public schools; married,
Louisville, Ky., Sept. 6, 1892, Grace Darling
Bruner; two daughters; promoted the town of
Conway, Ark., in 1908, selling 1,372 lots in 3 days;
sold over $4,000,000 worth of real estate in
Cleveland and vicinity in 1912; trustee St. Luke's
Hospital; member Chamber of Commerce, and Athletic
Club; Joseph Hamilton Daviess
states and a great uncle, has a county in Indiana,
Illinois and Kentucky named for him; the name ceases
at his death, as he is the only mail survivor of an
old Southern family.

Auto Co., until July, 1911, when he formed the A.
R. Davis Motor Co., taking over Studebaker
interests locally; pres. A. R. Davis Motor
Co., member Chamber of Commerce, Union, Cleveland
Athletic, Hermit, Rotary, Cleveland Automobile and
Euclid Clubs.

Katherine Wenderink; started when 15 years old
working for Bingham & Williamson, hardware
dealers; railroad sales mgr. for Lake Erie Iron Co.,
Cleveland; member Athletic Club; too busy for any
recreations; outside of business spends time at home
with his music.

surgeon; born, Cleveland, Oct. 31, 1871; son of
J. F. and Annie Benbow Davis; educated, public
and high schools and Cleveland Medical College;
married, Cleveland, Dec. 10, 1901, Mammie E.
Randall one son, Randall Leland Davis,
born May 29, 1903; surgeon Medical Corps, N. G.;
served as capt. from February, 1902, to March, 1912;
served in Spanish-American War, and Cuba; medical
inspector public schools; one of the founders;
entered the medical profession, Apr. 6, 1898; member
Academy of Medicine, Ohio State Medical Society,
American Medical Ass'n, Cleveland Medical Library;
director Central Friendly Inn, Neighborhood
Settlement House, and Associate Charities; member
City Club and Chamber of Commerce; member Housing
Committee of Chamber.
