JOSEPH GOLDSMITH
Westminster, Aug,23 Joseph Goldsmith ,65 a butcher died
of heart disease at 8:30 p. m. Wednesday at his home near here. He
had been ill for several months. Besides his widow (Sarah L. Rockhill Goldsmith), he leaves eight daughters and two sons. They
are Mrs. Jennie Scott, Mrs. Margaret Sheppard ( Shepherd), Miss
Mildred Goldsmith, all of Lima; Mrs Emily Feltner of Van Wert; Miss
Cora, Miss Pauline, Miss Dorothy (Dottie) and Miss Ruth Goldsmith all living near here; William Goldsmith and Edward Goldsmith of
Westminster. Five sisters and a brother also survives. The body is
to be taken from Weygandt's Mortuary to the home of his son Edward, Thursday evening. Funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday at the Methodist Church (In Westminster) here. The Rev.
J. L. Buckley will have charge Burial will be in the Salem
Cemetery

MRS. SARAH LAVONA GOLDSMITH
Mrs. Sarah Lavona Goldsmith 68, resident of Westminster
for 40 years ,died at 10:00 a. m. Wednesday in Lima Memorial
Hospital of cerebral hemorrhage. She had been ill the past year
and was removed to the hospital Tuesday night. Mrs. Goldsmith was
a native of Rockport, Monroe Township Allen Co., OH and a member
of the Methodist church there.
Surviving are two sons, Edward Goldsmith, of Lima, Rt. 2 and William
Goldsmith, at home; eight daughters; Mrs. Jennie Scott of
442 E. Pearl St, Mrs. Minnie Feltner of 424 E. Pearl St. of Lima; Mrs. Mildred Stillwagon of Bellefontaine; Mrs. Margaret Shepherd
of 1080 Findlay Rd; Mrs. Ruth Steele of 537 1/2 High St. of Lima ;
Miss Cora Goldsmith, at home; Mrs. Misses Pauline and Dottie Goldsmith of 118 1/2 Spring St. of Lima; two brothers
Harley and Clyde Rockhill, both of Dayton; a sister, Mrs. Sylvia Joseph of
Waynesfield Route 1; 26 grandchildren ,and two
great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. Friday will be
Westminster Methodist Church, Rev. Willard Thomas officiating.
Burial will be in Salem cemetery . The body will be remain at the
Chiles and Son Funeral Chapel until time for removal to the
church.

PAULINE GOLDSMITH
Pauline Gwendolyn Goldsmith 54, of 1081/2 Spring St.
died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in her home following a extended
lingering illness. ( ALS) She was employed by a Westinghouse
Electric Corp. Born Nov. 10, 1913 in Allen County, she was the
daughter of Joseph and Sarah Rockhill Goldsmith.
Surviving are six sisters, Mrs. Jennie Scott of 785 W.
High St, Mrs. Robert ( Mildred) Benchoff of Wadsworth, Miss Cora
Goldsmith of 123 1/2 Spring St., Mrs. Floyd (Margaret) Shepherd
of 1606 Findlay Rd., Miss Dottie Goldsmith of 108 1/2 Spring St.,
and Mrs. Roy (Ruth) Heil of 672 S. Main St. of Chiles and Sons-Laman
Funeral Home with the Rev. George Bailey and Rev. Willard Thomas
officiating . Burial will be in Salem Cemetery (Westminster)
Friends may call at the funeral home.

Cridersville, OH - MRS. REVA LILLIAN
GOLDSMITH 54, wife of Edward V. Goldsmith, Route 6,
Cridersville died at 9.00a.m.today in Lima Memorial Hospital in
Lima, following an illness of four months. Mrs. Goldsmith was born
near Westminster and was a member of the Social Improvements Club
of Westminster and of the Westminster Methodist Church.. She is
survived by, in addition to the widower, her mother Mrs. Bessie Cook of Route1,
Harrod; two sons Donald ,Alger and Jack , Harrod;
one daughter Mrs. John ( Doris) Veniza, Roann, Ind; one sister Mrs.
Ortho Shaw, Route 1 of Harrod; and 10 grandchildren. Services will
be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Westminster Methodist Church, the Revs.
John Nussbaum and Richard Davis officiating. Burial will be
in Salem Cemetery. Chiles and Son Funeral Home of Lima is in
charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the residence after
noon Tuesday.

WILLIAM H. GOLDSMITH
Westminster- William H. Goldsmith, 53, custom butcher of
this community , died at 12:30p. m. Monday at the Wayne Locker
Co., of a heart attack. Mr. Goldsmith had taken meat to the locker
and just started to enter the refrigerated area when he collapsed
,according to Auglaize County corner Dr. Richard Scheaffers ,said
death was due to a heart attack. A native of Fulton Co, he had
lived here in Westminster the last 40 years . He was a veteran of
World War II and a member of the William Paul Gallagher American
legion in Lima. Surviving are a brother Edward V., Route 1, Harrod;
and eight sisters Misses Pauline and Dot Goldsmith, 108 1/2 E.
Spring St., Lima, Mrs Ruth Steele ,535 W. McKibben St., Lima, Mrs.
Jennie Scott, 513 E. High St, Lima, Mrs. Mildred Benchoff,
Wadsworth, Miss Cora Goldsmith, Route 1 Harrod, and Mrs. Margaret Shepherd,1606 Findlay Road, Lima. The body will remain in the
Chiles & Son Funeral , Lima for services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in
the chapel. The Rev. John Venezia and the Rev. Willard Thomas will
officiate. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery , near Westminster

Mrs.
Elizabeth Goedde
Mrs.
Elizabeth Goedde, 55, of 1110 St. Johns-av, wife of Urban Goedde,
died at 8 p. m. Saturday in St. Rita's hospital of a heart
ailment. Born in Putnam-co, she had resided in
Lima
40 years.. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic church and of
the Altar society. In addition to her husband she is survived by
four daughters, Mrs. Esther Grafton, of
Detroit
, Mrs. Louise Poland of Lima Route 6, Mrs. Annetta Hughes of Lima
Route 2, Mrs. Margaret Albert of 966 St. Johns-av, and three sons,
Alvin Goedde of 949 Bellefontaine-av, and Janice and Russell
Goedde, at the family home. Three brothers, Michael Seibold of
Alaska
, Joseph Seibold of
Lorain
and Phillip Seibold of
St. Louis
; two sisters, Mrs. Tillie Reed of
Lorain
and Mrs. Clay
Jones of
Elkhart
,
Ind
and
10 grandchildren, also survive. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at St. Johns
church at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, The Rev. Albert A. Fate, pastor,
will be celebrant and interment in Gethsemane cemetery. The body
will be removed from the O’Connell and Doolin mortuary to the
residence Sunday afternoon.
