ROCKHILL-- In Burlington, Kansas, July 9, 1898, A. P.
Rockhill, aged 72 years.
A. P. ROCKHILL was born in New
Jersey, June 14th, 1826, and died on July 8th, 1898.
He had been a resident of Coffey county quite a number of years,
and for the past
thirteen years has resided in Burlington. He had been a great
sufferer for many years.
Mr. Rockhill was a member of the M. E. church for twenty-six
years. The funeral
services were conducted by Dr. B. Robbins, assisted by Elder Park
C. Herbert.
His remains were buried in a cemetery near Gridley.
Note: His name was Adonijah Peacock ROCKHILL Birth 14 JUN
1826 in Evesham
Twp., Burlington Co., NJ Death: 9 JUL 1898 in Liberty Twp., KS
Burial: Teachout Cemetery,
Liberty Twp., Coffey Co., KS He was another son of Samuel and Mary
Frances Peacock.
He moved to Kansas sometime after 1870 with several of his sons.

MRS. J. W. ROCKHILL DIES AT HER HOME IN BATH TP.
Mrs BELLE L. ROCKHILL
65, wife of J. W. Rockhill died Friday at her family home in Bath
tp following an illness form complications. She was born in
Augusta Co., Va January 13, 1858 Surviving besides her
husband are two sons , Harley Rockhill of Lima and Clyde Rockhill
at home; two daughters Mrs. Sarah Goldsmith of Westminster and
Mrs. Sylvia Joseph of Van Wert;three brothers William and George
Bailey both of Bath tp; James Bailey of Monroe-tp; 14
grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be
held Sunday at 3:00 p. m. at Blue Lick church in charge of Rev.
S.. Driver. Burial is in the church cemetery.

CLYDE R. ROCKHILL
Clyde R. Rockhill , 67 of 1217 E Second St Dayton, died at 6:30
p. m. in a Dayton rest in home following a illness of four days.
Mr. Rockhill was born in Rockport on Oct.23, 1882 and had made his
residence in Lima and Dayton for several years. He was a member of
the Rockport Methodist Church. Surviving are a sister Mrs. W. H.
Joseph and several nieces and nephews.. The body will remain at
the Chiles and Son Funeral Home for services at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday. The Rev. Willard Thomas will officiate and burial will
be at Blue Lick Cemetery.

Mrs Belle L. Rockhill 65, wife of J. W. Rockhill died Friday at
her family home in Bath -tp following an illness form

HARLEY M. ROCKWELL
Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon in the
Wayne Funeral Home in Dayton for Harley H. Rockhill 60, formerly
of Lima, who died Saturday in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, of
injuries received when a truck struck him. Burial will be in Blue
Lick Cemetery. Rockhill reportedly was walking on the
Harshmanville Road near Dayton when the accident occurred. He was
born in Rockport and had resided in Dayton for 19 years. Surviving
are his widow Mary; a sister Mrs. Sylvia Joseph Route 1; and a
brother Clyde , Dayton ,He was a World War I veteran with an
honorable discharge. Burial will be in the Bluelick Cemetery in
Bath Township Allen County.

John Rockhill 81, retired farmer and a member of the
Borrowed Time Club died at 4:00 p. m. Sunday at his home Lima,
Route 3. Rockhill was born in Rockport and had lived in the Lima
district most of his life. He is survived by two sons Harley
Rockhill and Clyde Rockhill Bryan: two daughters ,Mrs. Joseph
Goldsmith of Westminster and Mrs. Walter Joseph of Kalida.
Services will be held at 1:30 p. m. in the Lewis Funeral Home.
The. Rev. John Nelswander of Kalida will have charge. Burial will
be in Blue Lick Cemetery

Grace M. Roush
Grace
M. Roush, 56, of 1439 E. High-st. died at 9 a. m. Wednesday in
Memorial hospital after an illness of five days. She was a
lifetime resident of
Lima
. Surviving Miss Roush are five brothers; Willie and James of
near Lima, John of Pasadena, Calif., Judd of Pontine, Mich.,
and Oliver of 800 Holly-st; and one sister, Mrs. Harry Lewis
of Elida. The body will remain at the Davis-Miller and Son
funeral home where funeral services will be held at 2 p. m.
Friday, with Rev. S. M. Davidian, pastor of the Central Church of Christ,
officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
