Jun. 25, 1850, daughter of Samuel Johnson, a resident of Pennsylvania; had issue, among others: 1. Arthur, b. Jan. 25, 1827, in Archer township; m. Mar. 27, 1851, Susan McDivitt, daughter of Samuel McDivitt, of Stock township, Harrison county; 2. John, served in the Civil War; d. 1862 in Knoxville, Tenn.; 3. Jeremiah, served in the Civil War.

June26, 1813, in Washington county, Penn.; a Presbyterian minister; removed to Marietta, Lancaster county, Penn., thence to Mount Joy, in the same county, where he d. 1850; m. A. J. Cunningham, of Chester county, Penn; d. Jan. 6, 1849 (had issue: i. Elizabeth, m. Rev. Edgar, President of the Wilson College for women, in Chambersburg, Penn.; ii. John-C.; iii.
