HENRY F. FRYE
was born in 1803, in Hamilton county, Virginia. In the
spring of 1815 young Henry was brought to Jackson
township by his parents, who settled on the farm now owned
by Elijah Milhone. In 1826 Henry
married Sarah Trenner, who was born in
Frederick county, Virginia, in 1803. In 1826 he had
the misfortune to lose his father and in June, 1862, his
mother, Mary Collins Frye, also died.
Henry and Sarah Frye had a
family of thirteen children, nine of whom are living,
namely: Elizabeth R., John, Catharine B.,
William K., Sarah L., Benjamin L.,
George W., Maria, and Henry. Mrs.
Henry F. Frye came to this county with her parents,
Henry and Elizabeth Secrest
Trenner, in the fall of 1818, and settled on the farm
where Henry Trenner, Jr., now lives.
He died in 1829, and she several years after wards.

MOSES J. CONNER was born
in Frederick county, Virginia, in 1830. In 1857 he and
Miss Nancy Waller, who was born in
Muskingum county in 1837, were married. Their three
children are still under the parental roof, viz.:
Bernice, Bell, and Allen W. Mr.
Conner owns a good farm of one hundred and five acres, most
of which is bottom land. He was a carpenter for
fourteen years, but is now a general farmer.
