JACOB DANGLER -
who settled with his parent, John and Barbara (Kaler)
Dangler, in this county in 1837, was born in
Union county, Pennsylvania, in 1814. His wife,
Susan, whose parents, Jesse and Jane (Shurtz),
came to the county in 1838, was born in Columbiana
county, Ohio, in 1821, and they were married in this
county in 1842. Twelve children complete the
family circle, all of whom, with one exception, are
living; Barbara, born Dec. 25, 1843, died
Jan. 20 1844; John K., June 28, 1845;
William S., Feb. 10, 1847; Sarah E., Apr.
27, 1849 - all living in this county; Henry J.,
Mar. 6, 1851; Jacob G., May 23, 1853; Mary
E., February, 1855, living in this county;
Anna N., Sept. 16, 1857; Columbus E., May
6, 1859; George A., Mar. 4, 1861; Lydia C.,
Mar. 31, 1863; Daniel E., May 1, 1865.
His wife's grandfather served in the war of the
Revolution. Occupation, farming.

JOHN H. DRERUP -
son of John B. and Anna L. (Werning) Drerup,
was born in Europe, Kingdom of Prussia, Aug. 25,
1835. Emigrated with his parents to this
country in 1835, and settled in Ottawa township.
Married, June 20, 1865, at Glandorf, M. Therese
Merssmenn, whose parents, G. Henry and Mary
Elziabeth (Reker) Merssmenn, also emigrated from
Germany. The fruit of their union is seven
children: John Henry, 20th December, 1868;
Frank H., 1st May, 1871; W. A., 28th
July, 1873, died Aug. 7, 1873); F. Joseph,
7th September, 1874, (died Sept. 13, 1874);
Anne Mary, 23d May, 1876; Carl Augustine,
6th December, 1878. Business farming.

F. WILLIAM DULING
- is engaged in farming, and was born in this
township, Mar. 20, 1845. His parents, John
H. and Mary K. (Holdmyer) Duling, settled in
this county in 1834, from Osnabrook, Germany.
His wife, Mary Ann, whose parents, John H.
and Mary K. (Hohenbrink) Schrader, removed to
the county in 1844, was born in Greensburg township,
in July, 1837. They were married at Glandorf,
Apr. 15, 1872, and are blessed with three children:
John Henry, born Oct. 23, 1873; Mary
Catharine, Nov. 15, 1875; Anna Mary, Oct.
10, 1877. His father's history is given under
the biography of his brother,
Frank Duling.

FRANK DULING - Son
of John H. and Catharine (Holdmeyer) Duling,
natives of Hanover, Germany, and who settled in this
county in 1834, was born in this township, Feb. 9,
1850. His wife, Wilhelmina, daughter of
Bernard H. and Mary A. (Neirman) Strautker,
was born in Greensburg township, June 23, 1855.
Her parents emigrated from Glaine, Germany, in 1849.
They were married Sept. 1, 1875, at Glandorf, and
have three children, born as follows: Anna
M. C., Nov. 13, 1876; Catharine E., Apr.
15, 1877; John B., July 2, 187_(illegible).
His father, John H. Duling, was a pioneer
settler of this township, and among the first nine
families that settled in Glandorf in 1834, where he
was active in the organization of the Catholic
Church. Occupation farming.
