IGNATIUS H. KAHLE
- farmer and manufacturer of drain-tile, was born in
this county in 1851. His parents, John F.
and Maria B. (Wilbarding) Kahle, came from
Hanover, Germany, and settled in this county in
1833. His wife, Mary A., whose parents,
George and Mary A. (Hagner) Miehl, came to
this county in 1867, was born in Pittsburg,
Pennsylvania, in 1853, and they were married in
1875. Two children bless their union: Frank
G., born Aug. 22, 1876, and Emma B., Mar
.6, 1878. He has served as township clerk, and
filled other public offices at various times.
Occupation, farming.
Address, Glandorf, Ohio. August and
Ignatius H. Kahle, manufacturers of drain-tile.
A large stock always on hand.

DANIEL KING
- son of
Nicholas King and Elizabeth Shrack King, was
born in Wayne county, Feb. 1, 1837, and settled in
this county in 1863. His wife, Catherine,
was born in the county, June 2, 1839, being a
daughter of Christian and Anna Burkholder Amstutz,
who settled here in 1836. They were married
May 14, 1863. Children: Mary, born Oct.
10, 1864, died Sept. 8, 1868; Elizabeth,
Mar. 27, 1866; Anna, Nov. 15, 1867;
Carolina, Feb. 10, 1969; Sarah, Dec. 19,
1870; Leah,Apr. 17, 1873, died Oct.
31, 1879; David, Dec. 17, 1874; Samuel,
Jan. 12, 1877. Mr. King has been school
director two terms. Business, farming.

SAMUEL KING
- was
born in Beaver county, Pennsylvania, May 13, 1842,
and removed with his parents, Matthias S. and
Christina C. (Wiverly) King, to this county in
1856. His wife, Amy E., is a daughter
of Hiram H. and Melinda M. (Paxton) White,
and was born in Franklin county, Ohio, Apr. 18,
1857. Her parents came to this county in 1859.
They were married in this county, July 2, 1874, and
have two children: Everett H., born June 26,
1876, and Manford H., Mar. 6, 1878. George
Wiverly was in the Mexican war. He was
in the war of the Rebellion, being a member of the
Twenty-first Regiment O. V. I. three months, and of
the Fourth Ohio Cavalry three years, and was in the
battles of Murfreesboro, Franklin, Chickamauga, and
Selma. Has held the office of supervisor.
Occupation farming.

JOHN F. KONST - was
born in Friesland, Holland, July 20, 1834, and
settled in this county in 1852. His parents
were Franciscus A. Knost and Euphemia
Tenhave, who came to this country in 1847. He
married at New Cleveland, Ohio, Feb. 12, 1863,
Mary Westrick who was born in Ottawa township,
Sept. 20, 1842, daughter of Henry Westrick and
Mary A. Zimmer, who came into the county in
1840. Their children are: Marianne J.,
born Nov. 12, 1863; Euphemia, Aug. 20, 1865;
Carol, Sept. 11, 1867; Magdalena Oct.
11, 1869; Catharine, Oct. 7, 1871; Anna,
Nov. 9, 1873; Frank, Feb. 9, 1876; Amelia,
Jan. 4, 1879. Business, farming.
Post-office, Ottawa.
